This game was much better run when there was a smaller administration and gallop had the wheel.
The commission, and the suits they brought in, has done nothing but ruin the game.
Bit like American politics.Deep state getting deeper is never good.Only makes for a deeper swamp to drain.
I Can appreciate the creativity of the ad however if the Wests Tigers were the premiers this billboard would have about as much chance of seeing the light of day as bumping into Elvis Presley at Stanmore maccas.Todd Greenberg and all his cronies from bondi would see to that.
A bit sad in this day and age that the general consensus is that challenging the NRL is pointless. Says alot in itself about what is wrong about the game.
Pointless and Lots cheaper too. Particularly if someone failed to adhere to the Cap rules and telling blowies to the Cap auditors.
Wish you guys would get over it …… we need to take our medicine here.
Stop feeling sorry for Pascoe … he got us into this mess now he needs to get himself and the Club out of this … if he can.
Mate we are in a better position than we have ever been under Pascoe’s leadership.
Take a.visit back to what he took on - that was a mess. At this point I am prepared to back him over anything the NRL stands for even if he was in the wrong.
Agreed. I feel this forum has Wests tigers fans and fans only of “certain” players.and people who are the puppets of dodgy player managers spreading crap that really has no interest in Wests tigers.
People - it is great to vent on here but it wont do anything.
You need to get on to the NRL. They need to be bombarded with complaints.
You can contact them via nrl.com. I have today. Received two replies already. Just the standard response:
In regards to the incident with the Wests Tigers, the rules are clear around post-career roles. This type of agreement could be used by a club to keep a player at a reduced salary and a way around the cap. The payment should have been disclosed by the club and included in their salary cap.
It is important to stress these are preliminary findings and the club and Mr Pascoe have been given a reasonable time to respond to the proposed penalties.
Thanks again for taking the time to write to us.
They need lots of complaints so they cant ignore the masses.
Love how the NRL says the rules are clear but yet teams like the Roosters who clearly break them year in year out are never fined while they will always find a needle in a haystack with us.
So the NRL is rigged for Melbourne, Brisbane, Souths, Manly and Roosters.
Melbourne have had success on the back of have 3 of the best players for the passed decade.
Brisbane haven’t won a premiership since 2006 and have made up the numbers in the finals most times since then.
Manly have been a basket case for almost 10 years.
The Roosters have had up and down success but they stack their roster trying to buy premierships and have got one of late.
Souths were a disaster, had a few good years won a premiership, were rubbish again, have come good again.
If you were the NRL wouldn’t you want the teams you’re rigging it for to win the premiership?
Tell me another Major Competition in the world where one team always plays on the Friday night thus getting a seven day break vs their opponents.Do you think if Wests tigers won a premiership with a grapple tackle, chicken wings putting players in wheelchairs we would of gone unchecked like ten years straight.Manly this year suck and have no pull but don’t worry once they get to the top again you watch them get the calls again.
Not to a Brisbane or Melbourne level but a hell of a lot more than us Wests tigers.Souths(as I have stated previously only turned into darlings once Rusty came on)have for the first time in history complained to the NRL(Rusty called on Tuesday.FACT)Complaining there was nothing for Suttons 300th the NRL then tell ****Justin Pascoe you gotta put the 300 on the ****field how bout 250 for Robbie?****Nope go get bent.Roosters where do I start?
Hey guys.Just popping in to say hello.
Very positive news as far as i am concerned. We need to get away from the “pokie palace” mentality and be viable in our own right, if we can achieve that then it will be next to impossible for us to be culled or transplanted.
As others have said small steps but going in the right direction. For the first time in our history i have belief in the people running the club.
Yep.The second Wests Ashfield took over the club has gone from strength to strength off the field.
Let’s not start with the digs.
Most of us are over that.
