Incredibly underrated by fans, but not so by the coaching staff.
He is a machine. If he has to play 60 mins - he could do it. He has a motor on him. His tackle efficiency is one of the best in the league - rarely misses a tackle and usually makes over 100m a game or close to it.
That article pretty much puts the thread to bed, right? Everyone is quick to jump on the “disgruntled” bandwagon because we see it so often, but it’s nice to get the full story and appreciate Nofo’s attitude. We’ve definitely missed some of his carries, so here’s to a long and successful first grade career at the Tigers.
I’m not saying he is disgruntled right now, but if he was, do you really think he would make that public? Of course he is going to say what he said. The worrying thing is he wasn’t even sure exactly why he was dropped and it came as a shock. You would think that Ivan would have had some sort of conversation with him to explain his decision and exactly what he needs to work on.
For people not wanting us to sign Folau because of his personal beliefs is just ridiculous. Everybody is entitled to their own opinions, it’s our right in this country.
Has a story every come out about him not being a team player or causing any disharmony amongst his team mates? No. So what’s the problem? I can’t see him derailing our culture at all. He is a nice down to earth guy.
Just because team mates may have a different opinion to you outside of footy does not mean that’s going to be impacted at training or come game day. It’s just ridiculous what some people think.
I don’t care what he believes or what he says.
We don’t need him at that sort of price - not value for money imo.
Don’t care about his comments, he will not be value for money.
I tend to agree, he is asking for a lot. If we were to sign him I’d want it for the rest of this year + 2019. Because that’s when the next top players are off contract - i.e. Nathan Cleary. There’s no other top players we could go for atm and we have a bit of cash to burn in the meantime…
