Up our way in the mid north coast, Group 2 and 3 I really hope that funding of some sorts heads this way. You always hear about clubs not being able to field teams etc and it is a real worry. I have no doubt that other regional areas have the same issues. I would love to see a big plan for country rugby league.

If you combined groups 2 and 3 they would put together a pretty good side plus have a massive area to draw from. The article talks about teams from Dubbo, Wagga or Tamworth/Armidale. A team based in Coffs Harbour drawing players from Taree to Grafton would be massive.

Yeah agree mate. It seems the Grafton teams might go back to the NRRRL (Group 1 and 18) that will weaken Group 2. Nambucca struggle each year they are either in or out as they can’t get numbers. But as you mentioned a team based in Coffs using players from Group 2 and 3 would create huge interest. Utilising the International Stadium at Coffs and even playing the odd game at the Stadium in Port would be nice.

@MAGPIES1963 said in Matterson unhappy at Tigers?:

G’day @GNR4LIFE: irrespective of all the negative crap that has been written on our forum about Ryan Matterson, I feel if he did a turnaround and said “I’ll stay and I don’t want any more $$$” most on here would say Whoopie!!! as we all recognize him as being a quality player now, and… will get much better in the near future.

If it’s only a matter of $$$, don’t we have someone in the club who has the professional negotiating skill to be able to work out a deal benificial for both sides.

If we lose him, we lose a player that can attract other quality junior and/or senior players, then we have to start all over again and go through all the crap of finding a replacement who is just as talented as Matterson.

But, by the sound of things Wests Tigers have made up their mind to play hard ball, and yes I know we are building towards a brighter 2021, but that build needs to start now by retaining Ryan Matterson.

I agree with you that Matterson has been solid this year. It is also possible he may get better next year or maybe this is as good as he gets, only time will tell on this.

For mine, if someone does not want to be at a club, or a job, and has a desire to be elsewhere, I know from personal experience you will not get the best out of them and they will leave sooner rather than later. Maybe it is a blessing in disguise and the club may come out bigger and better for it, but I would rather have players who want to be here.

I wonder what the odds of Burgess getting medically retired ? I bet there wont be any issues nor drawn out drama like what is happening with Mats.

A major news item: Robbie Farah’s sports event company has just landed a major deal with an English soccer team, and he will fly to the U.K. this month for more meetings with sporting clubs.

WOW!!! I wonder if this had anything to do with the fact he missed out on playing in a game about a month before the end of the season when he supposedly flew to the U.K. to watch his team play over there, rather than watch it on TV like most normal people have to do.

He, of course, missed out on training, obviously wouldn’t have been match fit for the next game so some on here would have thought ‘he let the team down’.

Gee, he seems to be the golden-haired boy…one rule for them and a different set of rules for Farah.

I’ll say it again…I feel Farah has got something on someone in our club.

But then he may have had psychological problems at that moment, so he just had to get away.

I reckon it’s starting to sound like Michelle Moses part 2.

It is also starting to sound like the famous B. Elias, part 2.

Time for a Bex and lie down mate, I think Robbie has been flogged enough.

@cochise

Agree mate, with the new bunch of hookers joining the club, I personally believe Farah will be a great asset to assist them. Can only be good for the club going forward.

@OzLuke

Yeah I have a bit but not much and I get some round up and put some on the tip of the onion weed, being very careful not to put it on the grass itself, painful but it works. Better than replacing all the lawn.

Good luck I feel your pain 🙂

Personally, I find her a bit annoying when she talks and Yvonne Sampson seems to be much more knowledgeable imo. However, this all started by a report by Rothfield, why aren’t the media getting up Rothfield for bringing this up ? I don’t agree with any forms of bullying and that includes Molan. But Rothfield seems have a get out jail card and seems to be immune for personal criticism for the crap he writes and says and he deserves it more.
