Those that keep on carrying on about Madge signing 15 of 17 that played last night, still don’t get it.
Yes he resigned them, but the crucial point is, the contracts of Reynolds, Mbye and Packer are not his doing, and that is what’s stuffing up our roster.
Forgetting about game numbers or standing, unless something changes this weekend, Lawrence keeps his spot in the seventeen based on performance alone and experience a bonus.
Who misses out. If Blore does well again he should keep his spot. Would have to be brooks missing out really and even then you’d prefer to carry 3 props.
Personally, there should always be a player that covers second row and centre on the bench, which Lawrence has shown competitiveness there over the past few weeks. Blore rightly kept his spot this week, though experience in a squad should not be underestimated either.
If Blore plays like he did last week, I’ll happily have him start and have Garner on the bench covering those positions.
Am I the only one not getting carried away with Blore? No doubt he has potential to be a star, however he’s still only played one NRL game. Calls for him to be made a future captain and locking him up for a further few years seem a bit premature, especially after he has come off 18 months of injuries.
Everything in moderation.
I recall Luke Brooks having a standout debut and now a faction of fans want to get rid of him.
Exactly. A strong debut is one thing, consistency is another. Let’s give him time to settle in. He could go down the same path of Woods, Aloiai or Twal or become another Lovett, Groat, or Buchanan.
Did you watch Blore play? He was better in those 46 minutes than Lovett, Groat or Buchanan ever were for us.
Appreciate members want to give it more time, but I’ve seen enough to extend him before Nov.
Penrith offering Crichton $375k a year for 4 years. I doubt he would leave Penrith but that is a bargain price, I’d throw some money at him come November
Penrith know he’ll get good offers seems like they want to sign him up before November. Hopefully we are smart enough to do the same with some of our guys like Twal and Aloiai
Definitely throw some at Crichton, he is a freak.
Hopefully we do the same with Blore also
Titans making some huge moves. Obviously really strengthened their pack, but they’re moving on Boyd, James and now Cartwright. Really doing some good work
Mbye is on Titans radar
Even if we pay half his contract to move him on it’s worth it especially if we sign a good winger or centre
I’d be stoked to see the end of that contract.
Is Mbye on their radar, or are we praying for him to be on their radar?
The forward pack is taking shape and very deep.
Props: Aloai, Mikalele, Stefano, Packer, Musgrove
Locks: Twal, Blore, Eiso, Mcintyre
Backrow: Luciano, Garner, MCK
We need to sign a couple of edge forwards with Lawrence, McQueen being moved on as we have a serious drop off and lack of depth there. I think Blore is mobile enough to play wide.
Tigers need to offload Reynolds, Mbye next year. Packer at this level is fine no point subsidising a release if he plays like this. Clarke is solid defensively but we have too many props and he’s the weakest.
More I watch Douehi his ball playing is way better than I suspected but his lack of speed is a liability at fullback. I think he’s destined for the 6 jersey if and when Benji retires. I think it’s this year.
If we can attract a quality fullback with speed, winger that’s explosive we will challenge. Talau has left centre written all over him.
Agree with everything you’ve said.
I’m hoping Brad Abbey might be the fullback you’re looking for. Has size and pace, just needs some luck with injuries.
Agree, BJ and Talau should be our centres with Lucy and Blore as our backrowers and Twal at 13.
Exciting times ahead
