@400 to 450K - Give him what he is asking.

Nofo Is a wholehearted Tiger

This is realistic especially compared to the rubbish players that have earnt more at this club and others in recent History.

Its such a no brainer to me

Are you sure he’s not asking for more?

No mate Im not,

The Tigers are percieved to be a less desirable destination than any other club in the NRL at present. .

More thann anything else I want us to be a tough club on and off the field {melb like} but this sigmals how we treat the cream of our crop.

Realistically he is good winger. He is our.best and most recognised player now.

This descission is more than 100k

We cant allow nofo to be in another teams jersey.

We can at 600K +

We can at $450k

I would hope we lose the battle for Mansour so he can go to the dogs(dont rate him at all)

Yes I hope we lose that battle too. Mansour is not what we need.

Mansour subsidised is a good pick up if we pay 400k or 450k what we are prepared to pay Nofo

If we lose Nofo i’d like us to go for fast wingers. Roberts is a good start but we need more speed in our backline.

By end of next year our young backs should be emerging for the NRL.

Happy days

We’ve given up Aloiai and Sam Mac for Tamou and Joe Offa. That is a big win imo.

And Jennings for Roberts

All for less money!

Piss weak management… getting no players in return for the snake…

Aloiai’s salary is off the Tigers’ cap, and the space created has been used to sign Ofahengaue.

Do you think the Tigers should have restricted themselves to only the Manly Sea Eagles roster when it came to finding a replacement for Aloiai? Because the fact that Manly wanted to sign a prop suggests to me that they may not have that much available in the prop position.

I wish people could be more realistic about this sort of thing. Aloiai spat the dummy and acted unprofessionally, but the Tigers’ choices were (a) to just live with a roster spot taken by a guy who doesn’t want to play for them but they still have to pay, or (b) be creative to reassign that cap to a suitable replacement. By waiting until they have a replacement, the Tigers are “playing hardball” with Aloiai AND looking after their own interests.

“But why do clubs never release players to the Tigers early?” Well, perhaps it’s because a lot of the players we sign early are on development or minimum contracts and thus there’s no incentive to let them leave. If Parr and Penrith had to replace Utoikamanu and Laurie they’d only have minimum salary to do so - basically it would mean a kid or some guy off the street. The Tigers had the opportunity to use Aloiai’s money to sign a rep prop with freight being paid by his old club.

Time will tell if Aloiai or Ofahengaue is the better player, but it’s pretty clear that Ofa was a better option FOR THE TIGERS IN 2021. Any talk of getting tough or setting an example would be, clearly and undeniably, at the expense of the quality of the 2021 playing roster. That would be the stupid move, not arbitrarily demanding Manly “make it right” or taking petty, vindictive action against a player who clearly doesn’t want to be here.

Hallelujah

7 NRL clubs are chasing Bronco second row forward Brendan Piakura ex Keebra Park and Aust Schoolboys. We’re not one of them according to the article, He’s a good player but our recruitment has been very good at the junior level.

I’d go for Riki instead

I think we should target Sam Walker. Hartigan will be all over him

Good young player starts in the right edge.
Blore and Luciano will be damaging for us. I think we should steer clear of injury prone Sironen.
Joe O as a 13 would be ideal with a prop rotation of Tamou, Twal, Musgrove, Mikalele and Utoikamanu. I like our forward pack even without Aloai.

Hearing you there. So much potential
