Webster reported that Souths opening offer was well below Mitchell’s expectations (what a surprise) and that Mitchell’s new agent had already made a counter offer. You’d think it would have to be a very very good one. Seems it is all about the money after all!

The Same Webster that said it was down and terms agreed To? Weird that he would agree to terms when it was well below expectations.

Spot on. Webster has lost credibility on this story. Best to keep quiet.

Ouch. That has to hurt Rusty. Now this is getting interesting. Being publicly rejected by LM may not go down well after the wining and dining. Has Bazza any Grange to spare?

Seyfarth stood out in a Balmain SGBall game against the Sharks. Seyfarth, Suli, Doeuhi and Papenhuyzen all stood out even then as NRL players. Seyfarth was younger but it was apparent he had it. McIntyre is one of those hard tough forwards every team needs.

McIntyre wont get near first grade, Seyfarth a good chance too

It makes it interesting that we have differing views on players. I always like to believe players and especially young forwards take time to develop. Players like Mark O’Neil took time to develop.

The longer this is drawn out, the better for WTs.

Seyfarth and McIntyre can really have input into our season. Both are fit and strong. Maguire will be all over them and pushing them to improve. I like a tough Newcastle forward in our pack like Dave Edwards and Mick Schofield for the Tigers

Reece Hoffman and Jake Simpkin are the ones to watch.
Max Burey could to a dark horse a very good player.

Burey a very good player.

A case of giving a young player a go and let him perform. He is a Warren McDonnell recruit from Laurie Daley’s hometown. Scolari and Wilson are two more outstanding talents who don’t have the big junior reps of some of the others but have the pace, desire and talent.

Mitchell strikes me as a player who’ll retire by 30.

He doesn’t enjoy the hard work associated with playing at the highest level. Training seems to be a real drag. Pushing himself to be the best he can doesn’t appeal as much as fishing or hanging with his mates. He plays because he can play well and make money doing so but i think he’s mostly about getting the money to set himself up for his life of fishing to come in retirement.

Be stunned if he sees out his next contract.

I liased with mr Pascoe this morning. There’s some concerns on tigers end regarding latrell. Want those cleared up before re-tabling the offer. That’s what the meeting is about this week.

You are not suggesting professional from our club? You will spoil some of the narrative on this thread.
