Please don’t compare JAC and Matterson. JAC appears to be a very good bloke and highly regarded in the NRL. I understand he has a family issue and we can all empathise with him. He has also been at our club and did well. If he does come back I cannot wait. As for Matterson, the Club handled his exit as well as it could and picked up quite a few exciting players from the Eels.

He has played centre before but alternates
This page has 2019 clips. A good prospect:

Thanks for the advice and clips. His centre play is exciting and willingness in the physical contest.

And if WTs do bring the young prop across from the Eels, that is another spot in the Top 30 gone. Where are all these places for the backs with blinding pace that we badly need?

Bit of mail around Simpkin will get nrl contract for 2020 be used off the bench.Packer is here to stay he won’t get swapped or sold off.Addo Carr looking most likely out of him Gagai and Johnson to be a Tiger for 2020…

Two ways of looking at the SImpkin issue. He is that good he demands a place in the 30 or despite having all this money to spend, we cannot fill our spots with quality recruits.

We have to looki to the future. I am quietly hoping Liam Scolari takes the right wing position from Nofoaluma this year and Curtis Wilson gets a run as well. Our recruit from Ballina, Kuyan Laurie (Roberts), - is one of the young players I am hoping will re-ignite the WTs’ backline. Although he played second row in the clip, he looks like a centre to me - strenght, blinding pace and willingness in defence and the confrontation. That Larry Corowa was involved in his recruitment gets me excited.

It’s all smoke and mirrors - Mitchell Management and Souths are conjuring up a fantasy to combat any compensation to the Roosters, who are demanding the $$$ they have paid this slug to go fishing over summer.
He’s off to Souths - just via the Russell Crowe movie script, wait for the crescendo !

I assume the compensation is linked to the release?

I would take AJ and DG if the $$ were right.
They are an upgrade on what we have.
In saying that it would be on the provision that JAC wouldn’t be joining. No point having both AJ and JAC in the side.

I can see an advantage in having two quick wingers instead of our current two slow wingers.

Webster reported that Souths opening offer was well below Mitchell’s expectations (what a surprise) and that Mitchell’s new agent had already made a counter offer. You’d think it would have to be a very very good one. Seems it is all about the money after all!

The Same Webster that said it was down and terms agreed To? Weird that he would agree to terms when it was well below expectations.

Spot on. Webster has lost credibility on this story. Best to keep quiet.

Didn’t know he had credibility

🙂

Ouch. That has to hurt Rusty. Now this is getting interesting. Being publicly rejected by LM may not go down well after the wining and dining. Has Bazza any Grange to spare?
