RE: Reynolds full of positivity ahead of milestone match
I believe we are better off with team we’ve played the last 2 weeks. Although we played 2 teams that have issues themselves, I believe this team has a different energy about them. And I reckon that comes from Josh Reynolds inclusion. And there’s that old saying, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”

RE: Ryan Shatterson
I have always hated Parra fans ever since Taniela Tuiaki injured his leg against them in 2009. I was at the game, and when he got injured, the Parra fans booed him for going down, that he got up & walked off the field with a broken ankle, and never played in the NRL again. They are so classless, they booed Corey Norman in his first game with the Dragons, even though Norman didn’t want to leave but Parra didn’t want him.
I dislike 15 teams in the NRL, some more than others, but I hate Parramatta because of their fans. -
RE: Aloiai
I’m a big fan of the NFL, watch my Carolina Panthers every Monday morning, and in the NFL, a team or an agent can not negotiate with another team within a contract of player. If found out to be guilty of doing so, a player and/or his agent can be suspended league wide for a period of time & an organisation will lose draft picks plus fined. It’s a way of keeping the integrity of the league with binding contracts. If a player asks for a release of his contract, they lose their signing bonus plus the remainder of their contract, some signing bonuses are quite large if they are an elite player.
The NRL might learn a bit about contractual obligations from the NFL.

RE: Packer
Packer doesn’t drop his weight on Gutherson’s head or neck, also Gutherson’s head pops through under Packer’s armpit as he goes down on his knee to complete the tackle.
Also, there was an article about the Matterson incident where the journo states that Packer got Matterson with an elbow, a legal elbow. Dunno what game this journo is referring to, but in league, an elbow to the head is never legal.
Media love to over sensationalise things against the Tigers & then don’t give credit when the Tigers do something positive.
Last week, the Broncos were the worst thing on the planet, but last night, the Storm were tremendous with no word of the Broncos.

Simpkin was impressive in his debut. He can only get better. I am hopeful of his career

RE: David Nofoaluma re-signs until 2025..
@jai_donaldson said in David Nofoaluma:
Honestly don’t see what all the stress and fuss is about.
Imagine yourself in your current workplace earning say 400k/yr and the time comes to negotiate a new contract keeping in mind loyalty is a relative thing of the past by both employer and employee. Your current employer has a think about it and says they’ll give you 450k for the next 3yrs. You have in back of your mind you really love where you work however you feel your possibly worth an upgrade so you put out the feelers to other similar workplaces nearby to gauge interest.
Place up the road says “Hey you know what, you go alright, here’s 550k for the next 4yrs”. Pretty damn good upgrade to do the same job you’re already doing and decent length contract too. You go back to your current employer and say “Mate the lads up the road want to offer me 550k for 4yrs, is your offer final or you’re willing to meet me half way?”
Now all this is hypothetical of course and figures in no way represent true amounts however you see where I’m going? Every employee is entitled to test their worth and would be silly to just take the first offer thrown at them when there’s a possibility to earn much more for longer.
Some fans get upset and cry lack of loyalty however they are just like us all and trying to make a living and set themselves up for life. Mansour is a perfect example of a player who settled for less from his current employer only to later get burned for his loyalty so remember loyalty is a 2 way street.
Thank You!!! Could not have explained it better. Some people’s hearts think players are obligated to give their lives to a club. But there has been no ill will shown from either side in this negotiation. He’ll see out his contract, hasn’t asked or hinted at a release, was asked a question about his current contract situation & gave an honest answer. Where’s the problem???

All those blaming Madge, give yourselves and uppercut! Seriously, we overachieved at the beginning of the season, and now our talent is showing… Sure we are struggling, but we don’t have the roster to compete with other teams. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU HAVE TO REBUILD A CLUB!!!
Madge is trying to polish a turd. He got a bit of shine, but the smell was too much for him to keep it.

RE: **live game feed** vs the Doggies
My main issue with today’s game was the lack of support when someone made a line break. Everyone just sat back & watched. Expecting 1 person to make a freak play by themselves. If you look at the top teams, someone is always off the ball carriers hip, ready for an offload.
-
RE: Lara Pitt
Personally, I’d prefer Madge stick with his style. This club has had players with thin-skin & no mongrel for far too long. If some don’t like it, move on. We will find other players who are willing to put the hard yards in & build a winning culture. One that’s earnt & not given or expected.

The best thing was the dodgy calls that went against us in previous weeks have seen them capitulate …tonight they didn’t… can be proud of that …hope it continues…
Absolutely. In the past, when calls have gone against the boys, they usually drop their heads & loose motivation. But they just played on tonight.
Play your game & don’t let the ref decide it for you. The ref may “influence” it, but they can never decide it. The players attitude has more affect on the outcome than the ref.

okay here is the prediction
Latrell will get a $1 fine and let free
Cause what he did was “cultural”.
Keep making statements like that and you will be cancelled in todays society lol
I know, right? But that was his excuse for going shooting with Josh Addo Carr. Like using the word “cultural” is an excuse that can not be questioned.

He needs to be emphasising tonight needs to be a bassline. The effort isn’t worth Jack if they roll over against Manly next week.
Manly did beat the Titans 36- zip in Mudgee! We can’t go into that game reminiscing about that trial game. With Tommy Turbo, they’re a different team.

Proud of the effort. What the West’s Tigers is all about.
Disappointed not to get the reward. It hurts but we’ll get a lot out of it.
Simpkin, halves and Moses good. Liked what Simpkin brought to the team.
Defence was good. Put it down to attitude.
Talked about Nofa moving to the left side. He’s ebbed and flowed in recent weeks.
Not sure on AJ injury.
Mentioned a few decisions that went against us. Questioned why technology isn’t used. Wanted Mitchell situation handled on the field.Definitely wasn’t happy about the Mitchell situation.
He was not. It’s the closest I’ve seen him to being openly critical of game officials.
Well, he doesn’t want to be called Ricky Stuart.

Not a lot of love for Nofa here.
I thought he was our best by a fair way. Some huge plays in defence and some massive carries to get us out of trouble.
I had Nofa for 2, after Simpkin on debut.

He will be challenging Harry Grant for QLD and Australian hooker for the next 10 years. The difference his quality of service made to our team was incredible. Will never play NSW Cup again thats for sure
Well, Reed Mahoney is up there as well. Which sucks for NSW. We’ve got Cook, then who??
-
RE: A star is born...
Absolutely. A few days ago, people were questioning Liddle’s exclusion from the team, and he played very well in Reggies, but Jake was even better in 1st grade. Couldn’t be more happy for the young man. Hopefully he keeps progressing.
-
Jake Simpkin
That was an impressive debut for a hooker. Played the whole game, was the leading tackler for the game. He can only improve.
I thought we had something in Harry Grant. This kid could be just as good. He’s only 19. Grant is 22.
I hope we don’t put too much pressure on him, but he looks the real deal.

RE: 321 Vs Souffs
3 Simpkin (his defence on debut, are you serious?)
2 Nofa
1 LaurieHM Lucy, Twal, Musgrove, Garner.
