Hopefully the first of many to go in the referee hole of inadequacy - maybe PV has started his fumigation of a biased incompetent bunch of so called adjudicators. Hopefully if it is his doing, he can make a start on the Match Review Committee as well (they ALL need to be replaced).

Cotric is officially listed as a Canberra raider in the nrl squad list Geo
so may not be right with Harry as he has West Tigers / Melbourne Storm
but I am with Cotric take a look

Cotric may officially still be a Raider, but they are officially about to lose him, which is what I think the original point was about.

All good.

Point taken as of tomorrow raiders do lose Cotric and us Grant

30 days has September…

It’s October Mate

I agree @paws. There is a lot of untapped potential in the inner-west, but moreso in the south-west.Why it hasn’t surfaced so far, is beyond my knowledge. I hope it changes in the very near future.

It hasn’t surfaced because most of them do not support Wests Tigers in my view.

They support who their parents supported before they moved to the new development areas in the SW of Sydney.

We have almost no chance to switch them over to us. We can try but it hasn’t worked so far.

Gosh, they’re giving us a hiding in the media…

Brad Fittler is shocked that Wests couldn’t find a spot for Ryan Papenhuyzen at the club, stating the Tigers “got it wrong” on several decisions in recent years, per The Sydney Morning Herald.
Papenhuyzen, Josh Addo-Carr and James Tedesco will all come together for the first time as Blues players under Fittler on Thursday, having all departed Leichhardt in recent years.
Wests Tiger fans get constantly reminded about stars that got away, with some decisions the club have made in recent years amongst the worst.
Nine years without playing finals football and their Origin representative, Harry Grant, was on loan from the Storm.
Papenhuyzen was at Balmain before the 22-year-old chased his NRL dream with the Storm as Billy Slater was coming to the end of his career.
“I was disillusioned when the Wests Tigers couldn’t find a spot for him,” Fittler said of Papenhuyzen.
“There were a few [decisions] there where whatever they did during that period, it was just wrong.
“So someone got it wrong, whoever it was, and I don’t care.
“He [Papenhuyzen] has been awesome. Before the grand final I asked him, ‘Mate, how are you going to get your speed in with it being so wet?’
“And he just said, ‘I’ll find a way’. And when he took off for that [second-half] try … he found a way.”
Tedesco and Papenhuyzen both exited the club in 2017 and went on to win premiership silverware.
“I think that’s happened a lot,” said Tedesco, when asked about good players departing Concord. “Josh Addo-Carr has also won a few premierships now. But what can you do?”
Addo-Carr started at the Tigers but, like Papenhuyzen, left for Melbourne where he has won two titles.
The Tigers are now wanting to bring back Addo-Carr, who is hoping for a return home.
Addo-Carr said after the grand final he was bound for Sydney in 2021, but “no other team is like Melbourne”.
Papenhuyzen, who took out the Clive Churchill Medal on Sunday night, told the Herald he wouldn’t have been half the player he is today if he didn’t head to Melbourne.

There is nothing in that article to be upset about except WTs’ inability to retain talent. I admit that is on the previous management and with Hartigan and Maguire at the helm we seem to be on a much better trajectory. PS I don’t believe Fittler wrote the article.

I’m sure he didn’t write it. There’s no way he is that literate or smart. He hasn’t graduated from writing with crayons.

Maybe - he has put his name to it though.

I’ve been over Fiittler since he took over the SOO. Gets the job after the great QLD era and acts now like he some sort of messiah. Couldn’t care less if NSW lost and if so for once may enjoy seeing Bennett smirk.

I would never be happy seeing that turkey necked string bean smirk at anything. He is so full of himself - should be careful he might burst.

Getting pretty sick of Fittler. Can someone ask him why was Penrith so crap that he left them and what it says about that club? The hypocrite did a Tedesco.

Absolutely - don’t do as I did, do as I think you should do.

Getting over him and Joey big time in the media. Just spruking crap to fit their own agendas.

Appears to be a few positive pollyannas on here. And that’s ok, but at least come up with some honest disclosure for your attitude.
We hear nothing from the club, I suppose because they have nothing. How about those pollyannas stop trying to ridicule fans who are simply hanging out for some good news, asking to be swayed by some tiny indication that the club has decided to develop as a professional organisation.

Im not a positive pollyanna, Im as disappointed as anyone else with our lack of success, but it doesnt get in the way of the truth for me.

As you said, we have heard NOTHING from the club at all in regards to JAC negotiations. After the Latrell experience, I would think everyone would welcome that.

But in the absence of news from the club, the negative nellies here simply make stuff up and that is not helpful in a discussion. I have read here that management has “fumbled” the JAC discussion (despite the fact we ahve heard nothing and know nothing), we are a laughing stock (despite the fact that Souffs and Bulldogs are in the same boat as us and many more imagined woes that have no basis in truth.

Myself and many others here have pointed out that significantly increased revenue, stabilised board structure, elimination of debt, increases year on year for membership, massive increases in sponsorship, appointing sponsor as chairman, Appointing twin premiership winning coach, cutting deadwood from coaching staff, establishment of the COE, signing Aus Schoolboys half and hooker, getting the Grant loan over the line, picking players on form and dropping high profile players regardless of profile and paypacket. signing of Tamou, LL, Blore, Stef, Douiehi…are ALL very positive indications of the direction we are going, but you would be excused for not hearing it over the WHAAAAAAA WHAAAAAA WHAAAAAA

Excellent post. The amount of vitriol that spews fourth sometimes, based on nothing more than unsubstantiated rumours, is unbelievable, unbalanced and unwarranted.

I have to counter some of this, as a long time paying member who drives over 2hrs each way to watch WT regularly I feel I’ve earned the right to be a negative Nelly.

1 the jury is still out on the JAC verdict, I’m not going to bash the club until it’s official
2 Souths are consistent top 4 team and reports suggest the Dogs are about to embark on the type of signing spree we simply cannot match, herein lies our gripe
3 until we can sign a marquee or two we will continue to be considered a laughing stock by many, we are treated like a door mat/retirement fund by the NRL, coaches and players
4 it’s too early to use Blore/Stef to hand out awards to Pascoe and co for any marvellous turnaround at WT
5 all the other good stuff you have pointed out needs to be converted into on-field performance before us Negative nellies will be happy, all 16 clubs should be doing that stuff as a minimum, it’s their bread and butter.

Mediocrity is in the walls at WT, what good will accepting it do?

Man the dogs have come last or near enough for years . They SHOULD have way more money to spend. We all knew next year was the year for big time signings , as that’s when our dead cap really comes off the books . So why is everyone losing their mind ?
And the dogs have signed Cotric , a winger , who has decided it’s 1996 and he wants to play centre , DWZ last year , a winger who we dodged the Bullet on being paid 850k , Flanagan , the jury’s still out on him , and Jack Hetherington , a bench forward who doesn’t mind starting a fight every now and then .
And finally they want to give JAC another winger , guaranteed 750k coin , when he might be wearing the 5 by round 12 .
Where has the club messed up in any of this .
In the same period , we have improved our junior stock , and signed players like Stefano , apparently resigned McIntyre , signed Tamou , and tried to get JAC on top winger money plus fullback incentives .
I don’t see where the animosity comes from. It’s 2020 not 2016 . Anything that has happened prior is your issue not the current administration. People need to recognise that.

Would you like to see Burton, JAC, Cotric and Flanagan at WT?

In a vacuum sure , but 2 of those are wingers , 1 could be anything and the other to do what play half ? Ahead of who ? Brooks and Doueihi ? Ah no , I wouldn’t like Flanagan to do that .

FB JAC
W COTRIC
C DOUEHI
C BJ
W NOFA
6 Flanno
7 Brooks
13/14 Burton

Some points in that lot

And in this imaginary world , where did we get the 1.5 mil to sign those players , when that money is wrapped up in Our reserve half and prop.

Now we’ve come full circle, I believe my argument started by being critical of the club that signed said duds. Yes, Cleary was there but I recall it was Pascoe trumpeting how aggressive they had been after letting go of Teddy and co.

Cool , how’s that relevant to signing 2 wingers for 1.5 mil in 2020 ?

I’ll take genuine rep stars at west’s tigers if their normal position is goal attack

I get it , but it’s how we got ourselves into this mess. It’s gotta be through the juniors . And I’mnot a paid employee , I couldn’t stand previous regimes , I just think we are moving in the right direction. It’s not happening quick enough for some I get it , but firing everyone very couple of years hasn’t worked so far , can we try 5 years of the same . See where this strategy of signing gun Juniors gets us ?

If I’m a gun junior I wanna play with a Teddy or a JAC or a Munster, I won’t hang around if I have to be the main man, there has to be a mix

Bring in a draft…

Too bad if you don’t want to go to Covid city or NQ miles away from family and friends.

Shutup kid - just do as you are told.

Great idea!!!

AD is a kid himself, he’ll be looking to leave unless we get him some quality experienced footballers to play with.

You don’t know that.

From what I have seen and heard of him and from him - he is here for the long haul no matter who is here and loving it.

NSW will walk through the Qld centres, they are genuinely two of the worst defensive centres in the entire competition and they’re going to be up against Wighton and Gutherson…

It’s gonna be a boring series i’ll tell you that.

Only for Queenslanders.
