Probably the first time in twenty years I’ve seen someone have the smarts to play to the whistle. Brooks deserves credit for that alone.

RE: Benji Marshall
At the awards night it was interesting that Benji thanked Ivan for bringing him back and didn’t mention Madge at all. Again Maguire loses the dressing room so it would be a brave club to extend his contract when players are going backwards and recruitment of top players is non existent during his 2 years.
It wouldn’t be brave at all. It would be sensible. Note to players - the coach runs the show. No more boys club.
RE: Confirmed: Matterson released from Wests Tigers.
But @tigeress if the guy really doesn’t want to be here for ‘whatever’ the reason is, forcing him to stay and play Reggies as some have suggested ain’t gonna do anyone any good.
We let an un-happy player go and replace him with someone that wants to play for Madge and knows full well all the other conditions re $$$ etc etc etc. results in a much happier player than Matterson will apparently ever be here and a much happier/settled club and Forum :fa-smile-o:
A win-win situation all round
Get off the grass. It’s not Hippyville. Business is business and this is a big deal. This bloke is pushing the envelope and deserves nothing but a painful, difficult transition.
RE: THE AMBUSH - Show Your Stripes..
Good idea - terrible name. The Ambush - show your stripes? Seriously? sounds like marketing done by a 10 year old.
The Streak. Show your scars.
Not sure how many would turn up to that though.
Seriously, is there anything on this forum that is immune from knocking?
What a great initiative. Super well done to all involved.
RE: Joe Ofahengaue Next ??
Let’s hope the big O lifts his game next year because he was dead set rubbish this year
he had Fifita and Haas getting most of the carries and his wife was also battling cancer so that’s one way he’s performance could have been effected.
Been carried by a very good pack …we wll find out the hard way …again
There pack was ordinary apart from Haas.
Offa on his day can outplay any forward. Big motor too…like the pick ip alot.
Look back since he has started …Thaiday …Gillett …Fifita …Jaydn Sua …Essesse…Arrow …ordinary …lol
It’s quality right. I don’t know. I’m not sold on this signing. I hope it works out for us.
People are going to expect his signing as a pack leader like Josh was in 2020 …he isn’t that man …sorry …If Aloiai was a qlder he would of got chosen ahead of Joe O in 2019
You don’t like Joe and over rate Aloiai, I totally disagree with all you have said
Happy_tiger has the most ironic name on here. Seems eternally miserable.
RE: Latrell Mitchell Contract Discussion
I learned long ago, that when youre looking for that dream car or house or whatever, you usually miss out on a few. But another always pops up, and when it does, it turns out you’re pretty happy with how things work out. I really don’t see much of a difference with Mitchell. Feet up folks, grab a beer and cross your fingers if you need to. There’s nothing you can do to change the the end result. Typing compelling reasons as to why he should have signed or why he hasn’t is probably only gonna add to your angst. Enjoy the weekend if you can. :v:
RE: Player Dramas in the NRL Off-Season (Silly Season)😇😈🤡
The NRL has imposed a sanction of one month’s suspension on Penrith Panthers player Brent Naden following the conclusion of anti-doping processes conducted by Sport Integrity Australia and the NRL.
Naden did not contest a Notice of Alleged Anti-Doping Rule Violation in relation to positive samples for Benzoylecgonine and Methylecgonine (metabolites of Cocaine) collected from him following the NRL Grand Final on 25 October 2020.
Having established that the ingestion of the cocaine was out-of-competition and not for performance enhancing purposes, Naden is sanctioned in accordance with new provisions of the incoming World Anti-Doping Code 2021 which permit a one-month period of ineligibility for qualifying athletes who also undertake an approved rehabilitation program. The sanction will come into effect on 1 January 2021 with the commencement of the new WADA Code.
In accordance with the WADA Code, Naden’s one-month period of suspension is backdated to the date of his provisional suspension and he will be eligible to return to training and competition on 1 January 2021.
The sanction issued to Naden concerns the anti-doping breach only and any other related matters will be reviewed in the new year. The Panthers and the NRL will continue to provide support to Naden.
Cool, so snort coke and all’s sweet, but pretend to shag a dog or pretend to be drinking from
a selfie bubbler and you’re gone big time. Makes sense.

RE: Signing Suggestions & Rumours
Good clubs keep on getting better.
Absolutely do not like TPJ joining Penrith for the short-term.
At least he’ll show some of you how good he will be, and that he is indeed a big miss.
This is such a retarded argument, like it was the supporters decision not to sign him. Say he does kill it, then what, people who didn’t want him have egg on their face, despite they had no control over it. Maybe point your finger at the club before a few plebs on a forum
Firstly, I’m not a fan of the ‘R’ word being thrown around.
Secondly, it’s absolutely the clubs fault - and a point I have made numerous times. To which the rebuttable to that, every time, is that TPJ is ‘not the player we need’ and he’s not ‘even that good’. And to that I say, watch.
Here, here - same with leftard. I wish people would show just a little class. Not a lot - just a little.
We do however, disagree on TPJ. I don’t think he’ll pull his head in. Could be a beauty for the dogs, could be a nightmare.
RE: Fox Spoilers at it again ...
I reckon I’m on my own here, but I really like Tallis. Joey is as dumb as dirt.
I heard him on Freddy and the 8th recently talking about how stupid the dragons players were to get caught.
He said something along the lines of - Seriously boys, if you really want to gettogether for a party during Covid times, go out to a farm or something where you aren’t gonna get caught.
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.
Obviously he’s forgotten the whole Taree saga not so long ago.
Why he’s continually plonked in front of tv cameras and behind microphones has me baffled.
RE: Luke Brooks
I do think Brooks has improved immensely over the last couple of months. Prior to that though he was underwhelming and the weakness in his game with communication, organisation, kicking and leading were obvious to many here. I hope he can stay but I would be open to him trying another position eg hooker or centre if WT are looking for Hastings to be the 7 and Doueihi at 6. We have to settle the 4 x key spine positions to build upon.
I said this before. Totally agree.
RE: **live game feed ** vs the Broncos
So who was the ref wearing the Gerard Sutton mask today? Because he reffed the game fairly and gave us the rub of the green way too much to actually be Gerald Sutton.
You must have been watching a different game to me
Just finished watching the replay closely, he has never been this kind to us…never!
What about the crusher tackle on Lucy ?
Honestly don’t think it was intentional, bodies were just in the wrong place. Anyway I didn’t say he was perfect just miles fairer than I’ve ever seen him ref one of our games - neither team was overly punished with 6 agains, he actually pinged every Broncos forward pass and the no try obstruction would’ve usually been a try against us also. He reffed this game far better than he did Origin that’s for sure.
Crushers don’t have to be intentional and wasn’t it the bunker that called the obstruction? I have to agree though. We weren’t penalised and 6 “agained” out of the game.
RE: **live game feed ** vs the Broncos
5 x try assists
147 running metres
4 x line break assists
But he missed 3 goals:joy: :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy:
He was shaky in defence first half too. Adam has to get that sorted. He could be an absolute gem - hopefully will be a WT great.
