@Milky:

@Sataris:

So I didn’t read the fine print and live matches are not available overseas.

Cancelled immediately, thank god for the free trial. Will probably go back to pirating matches.

You get them for free anyway?

http://new.livestream.com/nrl

legal stream by nrl

If by free you mean.

“This Event is not available in your location
The owner of this event has chosen to block your location. If you think there has been an issue, please contact the event owner.”

Then yeah it’s great.

I thought there was a similar service for overseas jurisdictions. At least there was a couple of years ago.

According to the Site, they suggest subscribing to the pay-tv provider in your region. Setanta in my case. Which seems like a very ‘Rupert’ thing to do.

I don’t post here much anymore but If a player continues to have issues with multiple coaches.

It’s not the coach that’s the problem.

Very expensive place but very clean and organised.

If you want a crazy experience go to Little India. Many years since I did it but for a certain time the place is flooded by the workers who live on construction sites. They are granted leave to go to town and they sure do lol…

Does this still happen Sataris?

Lol,

Funny you should mention, Little india is now an ‘alcohol control zone’. Incident about a year ago means no more alcohol in Little India.

Of course now they just migrate to neighbouring areas… but Little India is still a crazy place.

I do enjoy SIngapore to be honest, the history and the government are fascinating. See the quote below.

“I am often accused of interfering in the private lives of citizens. Yes, if I did not, had I not done that, we wouldn’t be here today. And I say without the slightest remorse, that we wouldn’t be here, we would not have made economic progress, if we had not intervened on very personal matters – who your neighbour is, how you live, the noise you make, how you spit, or what language you use. We decide what is right. Never mind what the people think.” The Straits Times, 20 April 1987

I moved to Singapore 18 months ago.

It depends on what you want to see and do, And being in Clarke Quay you’re a very short walk to Boat, Robinson and Collyer Quay. and mainly all the drinking places

Museums

  • SAM
  • Science and Art Museum
  • Singapore Museum.
    Bars
  • Beer Market (Prices change based on demand),
  • Chupitos (Shot bar)
  • Fern & Kiwi
  • Chijmes
  • level 33
    Restaurants
  • Jaan
  • 1 Altitude
  • Bacchanalia
  • Chijmes
    Shopping
  • Orchard
  • Marina Bay Sands
Manly Men Places that you probably shouldn’t go with your wife
  • Orchard Towers in Geylang
    Local Food
  • Lau Passat (Most western hawker centre, but also the cleanest)
  • Golden Horse Shoe (Hawker Centre near Lau Passat, not the cleanest place in the world but the food is delish and food is cheap
  • BK Eating House (3x500ml beers for $22SSG)

Make sure you try the following foods, Nasi Lemak, Char Siew Bau, Cereal Prawns, Chilli Crab (not a huge fan myself)

Chijmes is a convent that was converted into a food and beverage place, really cool and quite close to clarke quay. So it’s a cool place if you’re looking for food or drink, or want to check out the 1800’s architecture, or if you want to go to church. Safest be

Raffles Hotel is pretty and overrated, if you want a singapore sling I recommend either Chijmes, or if you can be arsed (go to Marina Bay Sands (the hotel and the casino) and look for the bar called ‘Adrift’.

Sentosa is a tourist trap, but I do recommend the zoo and the night safari.

And the single most important thing to remember in Singapore.

Public drinking is only illegal from 10:30pm to 7:00am.
Feels strange to be treated like an adult sometimes.

I’m so unbelievably excited for the Arsenal game in the CL.

Most of my mates are Arsenal fans.

This will end well!
