If this merger goes through I think it is time the West’s group invested in an area for the history of both Western suburbs Magpies and Balmain Tigers . Many can donate items of yesteryear of memorabilia and all the like for both clubs . Having visited the College football hall of fame in South bend Indiana I had this idea as it was impressive to see tradition presented like that .
These 2 clubs have over 100 yrs of tradition and I think it is time that this is presented to all , the Wests group need to identify this moving forward if this final merger takes place . It would be a great experience for the younger generation to actually see the past and the heritage that this organisation is formed from , 100 yrs of tradition is a gold mind of heritage that only South Sydney can match . Our clubs of the past should be proud to exhibit what has gone before as they are RUGBY LEAGUE in this city and the NRL should be reminded of this ! Do it West’s Group what a legacy it would be of our proud tradition.

@willow When the club actually gets its act together and shows the supporter base that they are moving forward with positive and decisive decisions the contributors on this forum might also become more positive. Nothing positive about having millions tide up with players that are not up to standard … nothing positive about having 4 home grounds … nothing positive about no quality signings for a couple of seasons .
Yep a lot to be positive about !

Well there are many disappointed souls Atm , Mitchell was NOT what was needed at this present time at our club . Actions or non actions speak for themselves in this situation, the young man is a fine footballer but the entourage and baggage that he brings would of been a disaster!
For Pascoe he finally gets a pass mark for showing some leadership at long last ! I get the feeling today could well be the turning point for our club … player agents and players from this day will know that the Weststigers are not push overs anymore .
Even though this decision to pull the contract leaves many with negative vibes towards the club …personally with what has transpired over the last month with a forthright Chairman Employed and pulling a Multi million contract from one of the games brightest players shows me that our club is finally maturing … with a COE hopefully around the corner a huge war chest of funds over the next 18 months to sign players to cement our club into top 4 contenders .
Do not despair in the not to distant future player managers will be ringing our club to offer there players . Today is the day I have been waiting a long time for … mark my words today is a turning point in our club’s history! I am very proud how the club has handled this situation ! The line has been drawn …

Do not worry about the lights being to bright or the advertising signs being to coloured or the ground being slippery or the seats being to hard or having to look at corporate boxes or even close to Parramatta leagues !!! Or having to walk for more than five minutes 🙀.
Your team has won 2 successive games and looking at putting a 3rd on ! Time we all got there and supported our team and create our own atmosphere at this stadium that is in the heart of our city .
Come on Tigers supporters get out of your lounge rooms make the effort and drive our boys home !

@happy_tiger If Mitchell goes elsewhere I would not blame the club at all …a bit like Teddy was always going somewhere else. The club have been proactive and transparent in these dealings and it seems what has been transpiering of late they are just being used to up the anti money wise …it will be a kick in the guts for many that wanted this to happen but it is not the clubs fault it seems they are doing every thing they can …blaming the club that is just a cheap shot !

@balmain-boy said in Signing Suggestions & Rumours:

So we’re meeting with Dylan Brown this week. Would be a handy signing for 2021 or maybe we can get parra to release him early! 🤣

Now this would make my Xmas a kid that can play and ready to fill Benjis shoes … but could you imagine the upheaval at Parra if the Tigers snared this young guy …
PRICELESS. Let it happen Santa !

@Snake At least the club seems to be on a professional front which is a major positive over what has transpired in the past . Win or lose this one I have been impressed with how the club has handled the situation… all and sundry are just grabbing at straws including the media . No more leaks in the SS WESTSTIGERS I am getting the strong feeling the futures looks very bright indeed…

My question for the forum WHO is good enough for the club to sign ? considering the all conquering roster that is the Weststigers! Personally a change in club and playing fullback would be a fantastic inclusion…

Wasn’t it Inglis charged with drink driving that he could of killed any of us or our families yet received a glowing reference from the head of the game … and Musgroves career is ruined and maybe never Play again for this indiscretion .

@balmain-boy I hope that comment was tongue in cheek … Moylan would walk into any position in the back line . Yes he has a face we would all like to punch , but I am tied of finishing 9th!

The truth is the whole Weststigers system in broken and is on life support! The first thing that has to be done by the West’s group is nominate one home ground from next season ! Something big has to be decided for real directional change .
The power brokers have to finally set a new course for the club and there would be no better way …,
Maguire tonight stated the club needs to change ! well this would be a major part of that … 4 home grounds are for losers does this ring a bell …
