No. I’m not confusing anything at all.

You should have said that you don’t think Taylor’s decisions were based on ego even though they were obviously the wrong decisions.

So his ego is the only answer for his mistakes? Does that count for other coaches too? And as for him sabotaging our year this yr, that is categorically false. We made enough progress this yr that satisfied everyone at the club and a big chunk of supporters.

You are right in that it could just be dumb decisions. Who knows exactly why he made some really poor decisions in the time he has been here.

The progress this year was good. Hopefully we improve on that again next year.

Fair dinkum, you have to be a troll. You contradict yourself that much it’s not funny.

He’s made poor decisions but progress has been good? By that logic we’ll be a powerhouse if he starts making the right decisions.

Let’s list it down them for the slower amongst us.

1st year:-

1. We came dead last. If you want to play semantics we came second last on for and against.
2. We played a brain-dead style of footy.

2nd year:-
1. There was a really dumb decision in relation to getting rid of Robbie. We were right in the running to make the 8 and Taylor pushed him out without appearing to gain any cap benefit.
2. We improved on the ladder a lot and made it to just outside of the 8.
3. We played a much better style of footy and went away from the defence only mantra.

So we definitely improved this year but there have been a lot of dumb decisions.

I hope you understand that. It’s actually pretty clear.

Yes, the premiers had better than average attack stats, but ranked much higher in defence.

I understand what you are stating but I think you have it wrong. Your attack plays into your defence in different ways. It’s about taking the right option which isn’t always the safest option.

I’m not a fan of Taylorball because it doesn’t work. Taylor even recognised that and changed things around last season. We played a much more upbeat style of footy.

If you play Taylorball the opposition can just sit back and take it easy. If you throw the ball around all over the place then you are going to turn it over way too much and have to defence too much.

It’s about finding the right balance. The constant harping on about all that matters is defence is delusional and the stats show that. The top teams have better attack - i.e. they score more points. Yes they also defend better. That is what you’d expect.

Yeah but this is the problem Steve , Ballin could win the Dally M and the Clive Churchill in 2017 and you’d still be on his case for 2016

The tide is still out on Ballin , it was a 2 year deal and he could come out and might kill it next year

Again this is what gets on my goat , people want to death ride every decision Taylor makes or has been involved in (rightly or wrongly ) , let him finish what he started and see where it ends up

Again and I’ve said this a few times now , every person should be praying that Taylor is on the right track , because if he can achieve what he is setting out to achieve we will be in a great place for many seasons to come

This is what has me :brick: , why would people wish for ill against a club they love (no matter whether Charlie Manson or Geo was coaching ) ??

Happy - I definitely want the club to perform next year and I want the coach and all the players to kill it. I also think that we can.

I also have no idea why anyone would wish ill of the club and state how bad our squad is and how we are no chance for next season. I’m definitely not doing that though. I think we have a great squad and can compete with the top teams in the comp.

I am 100% convinced that Taylor has been beyond ordinary in his time here. Yes he improved significantly last year but he still created a whole bunch of drama for no benefit with regards to Robbie. That doesn’t mean that I want the team to fail or I believe that this team is destined for a dud year next year. I think we definitely make the 8 and we could give the whole comp a good shake if we get a good run with injuries, some players step up and the coaching staff get it right.

Honestly - do you need help. That is just plain weird.

Let’s see how Idris goes. He is a big unit who can play.

That is a good signing for them.

@Nucky Thompson:

You totally disregarded his off field contributions. Surely your not that stubborn to say his not a champion bloke and his influence on our youngsters, members and community has zero value?

Ballin is paid to perform on the field. He has been a terrible signing based on that.

The way you are going Steve is that we are the 1st club in the history of rugby league who has bought a player who got a major injury soon after coming to the club

Jordan Kahu didn’t finish a single game for two seasons after two ACL injuries

It wasn’t like it was a situation like a Chase Stanley or Moltzen where they had have multiple knee injuries

Maybe we shouldn’t re-sign Tedesco based on your logic ……

It happens , blaming Taylor for a player getting injured (especially a bloke who is recognized as one of the fittest guys in the comp ) is really pissweek to be honest

If we paid Blaire money on ballen yes. But the club expressly said they got a good deal on him. So stop making out like like its a big waste signing

You are 100% correct. He has been a great signing. I think he deserved player of the year last season.

I can only hope we get signings as good as Matty Ballin going forward.

Are you for real? Rugby league is about playing well in both aspects of the game? Thanks for the tip slick.

Yep it is. If you don’t know what you are talking about you might actually think that all that matters is defence but you need to play both sides on the game.

Both sides of the game!? Great Odin’s raven, wonders never cease! I need to take notes for my Kingsgrove Colts U7s D side.

I’m sorry, but the steadfast and indefatigable nature of your commentary leads me to one of two conclusions: either you are a very persistant and self-amused troll, or you are that drunk guy at the bar who doesn’t realise everyone is laughing AT him rather than WITH him.

Debating with you is truly Sisyphean; I am driven to farce.

I honestly don’t get it. You say something that is obviously false and then you go and cry over it when I point out it isn’t true.

You need to grow up a lot.

The defence rests…

steve will find a way tho…

All the top teams had better attack. The defence does rest.

Sometimes I want to be wrong on here. Just to change things up.

At this point, I can’t tell if you’re genuinely deluded or just playing along for fun. I lean towards deluded.

Started out serious but when normal people (like you) can’t believe how dumb he is he pretends he’s trolling.

Geez - there are some angry ants on here. One thing I’m not is dumb.

I’m not deluded at all either. Go and read the stats again. The top teams had better attack. Keep arguing something differently if you want. The stats are clear.

You are confusing ego with conviction.
