Thanks for the kind remarks to you all.
I’m unlucky to be in this situation at a time when there’s a lot of extra things to worry about apart from getting through the cancer.
I was looking forward to the footy to help keep me sane (if you can be considered sane following the mighty WestsTigers) but now that’s gone too lol
There remains one constant though… I can always rely on my fellow supporters on here to keep me occupied and amused!

All the best mate. Stay safe and strong.

Or…“Eighth Wonder of the World”

Either would be appropriate. Where can I get one?

Best & less by the look of them 😂

Put crap on it all you like - as Voss said “Best sporting ground in the world”

For what? Model sail boat racing along the cesspool? Please take off the blinkers and open your eyes. It was great 30 years ago in the last century, it is pretty ordinary now. Visually it looks great with a full crowd on TV, but looks aren’t everything. In its current state it is sub-standard. It needs millions spent on it to bring it into the 21st century. Stop living in the past on memories of what it once was.

I am happy being inconvenienced some what when I go to watch the footy at Leichhardt even though it’s last century, wont be happy if I had to go to a hospital and it was outdated.

Not having a dig, but given the current climate and the possible shortage of hospital beds I can’t believe we are still talking about the convenience of 21st century stadium. Give me state of the art hospitals and schools not stadiums.

Sorry side tracked - T-shirt is cool and like Leichhardt quite retro.

So I’m hearing a few contrary reports re. Wests Tigers’ security as a club.

On one hand, we’re mentioned as one of the more vulnerable clubs. That this crisis may cause us to fold or have to relocate.
On the other hand, I hear we are one of the few clubs that has made a profit in recent years, that we haven’t stood down employees and that we are in safe hands.

Which is it? Or does nobody really know? And how do we stand compared to other clubs?

I had a dig through the financial statements the other day and Ashfield leagues has around $50 million in assets (which will take a hit, but still substantial) and the Wests Tigers as a club, have been running at pretty much break-even, suggesting lower than average overheads.

Yes, the leagues clubs will have to shut for a period of time. But I can’t see it eroding all their assets. Hopefully, they’ve got some fairly liquid ones (i.e. Cash) which will get them through this period.

Plus, we also have some heavy financial backers with Harry and Lee that can tip in a bit of cash.

I think we’ll be fine.

The interesting one is uncle nick at the Roosters. His fortune has been absolutely smashed recently. His stock, APE, has lost 80% of it’s value in the last few months. He’s still a rich man, but he’ll be hurting.

Roosters have Politis and a rich league’s club. Anyone hoping they won’t make it will be disappointed.

Politis will have no problem saving the Roosters. He’s that loaded, the club is just a hobbie for him.

I’m sure Politis has other investments but the motor trade isn’t doing so well at the moment neither.

Guys - China is to blame for this outbreak but plenty of other countries have caused outbreaks in the past.

I think the real question is do we stop eating meat ?

Yeah my bat strew is off the menu…

its a local delicacy in Wuhan…

Along with scaley mammals

We eat kangaroo …our coat of arms …imagine what other countries think of that
True we do and we should be eating more of it, the difference is our meat is butchered in controlled and hygienic environments. Sure some people might butcher their own but there is no wet market.
