Pascoe rates AJ. If latrell decides on Souths and AJ is made available Pascoe will sign him

Umm… is Justin now doing the player talent evaluations himself?

Funny thing is Johnston has been discussed before Latrell came into the picture. Was told he could explore his options & a couple of discussions between the club (mainly Madge) has occurred with him.

given we have to still spend a fair chunk of our cap to be compliant in 2020, has Madge been in discussions with any other players that haven’t been mentioned?

It’s all got to come to ahead in the next 2-3 weeks. Plenty of clubs moving behind the scenes & it’s only going to take a couple of quick decisions for this player market to explode. But scoring ability is the target. If Stefano falls through for 2020 (which it’s highly unlikely) an impact forward will be chased but so far Setu is impressing.

Any idea who is most likely to be playing nine for us

And as importantly, any idea who will be playing fullback?

Corey Thompson will seemingly get first crack at the fullback spot given his strong performances in the position last season

Mate I know you’re a bit of a star on the forum but was that comment genuine? IMO he is a fair winger and an awful fullback. If I had to rate the fullbacks from all clubs he’d be in my bottom 4. If he plays fullback this year we are no chance of the 8.

That’s a little unkind. I think Corey is a great fullback.

He’s a good winger but he’s an awful fullback.

No way near awful …
Momirovski is an awful fullback , as is Mbye !

2018 Mbye infinitely better than Thompson.

Glad your not the coach .
Mbye’s positional play at the back is / was pathetic.

Agree, it’s also Thompson’s weakness as well.

3 guys buy a bike off a man for $30.00
They pay $10 each
The next day the man who sold the bike got a guilty conscience and decides to give $5 back to the guys
He give his son the $5 and tells him to go give it back to them
But the boy decides to keep $2 for himself
He gives the 3 men $3 back
This means that each man has now paid $9 each
Add the $2 The boy has kept and that adds up to $29
Where did the other $1 go

Don’t give away the answer if you know
If you think you know then try and answer the ?
This should be fun

Ive seen this sort of thing before, and I’m usually pretty good with these. But it’s still got me thinking so good work.

Did the men pay 27 or 28, because both numbers seem correct, but that can’t be.

It’s math it doesn’t make sense it’s just math.

Put it this way, If the bike had of been $25 they would have actually paid $8.3333333333333… each. Essentially they got ripped off by .67c (to work in round figures). Multiply the .67c by 3 and you get the $2 bucks the kid pocketed.

I think someone mentioned we were interested in Latrell Mitchell

Is he any good?

Another 48hrs, the sequel, staring Eddie Murphy, Nick Nolte and a guest appearance by a WTF signing.

The Jai Arrow move could mean they, the Titans can now afford to go after Latrell … ?? As they got that young forward kid from the Storm to take Arrows position … wasn’t that Fa’asuamaleaui deal over 4 years … ?

I would rather have to choose between two kids with huge potential than none.

But you can only sign and keep so many. Still only 30 man squads.

I’m not a fan of the draft, a trade window sounds interesting.

I don’t think clubs should own the players unless a player has come through the grades for a single club also up to 50% of that players salary should be cap except. Once the player leaves their jnr club, the player becomes a free agent. If the player wants to break his contract a fee of $100k will be paid by the buying club to the selling club. If the club wants to release a player the club must carry an additional $100k on their cap for the following season. A mutual agreement incurs no fee but all parties must be agreeable.

Same fee should apply for free agent players and clubs wanting to break a contract early.

Just a 3 beer suggestions.

I’m not a big fan of a trade window as it is based too much in fantasy. We decry the lack of loyalty and call players mercenaries but there is nothing as inhuman as giving managers the power to swap their employees and them having no choice in the matter.

I think the whole value of winning has gone too far.

The NRL needs strong leadership. That would sort out lots of the agent problems.

Respect your views.

Only thing I query is that unless people are cheating and breaking the rules the primary value of sport is winning.

I refer to trade windows as a short mid season window were with all party agreement or the above penalties apply, players can be traded between clubs.

Maybe even make origin a two week stand alone event and a trade window at the same time. Make it so both origin sides select 30 man squads, all 30 players must see game time during the 3 game series. Also those players must miss a game for their clubs before and after origin.

Addresses the risk of player burnout with 30 man squads and the break before and after. Creates strategy, who to play for what games and may stop clubs stacking their ranks with high value players. Because they won’t have them before and after origin.

would be a massive media frenzy also extends the season for more tv coverage adding value.

Down side is the two events would clash.

Imagine supporting a club where you have to discuss the severity of the players sexual assault cases. Not including king hitting forwards or Uber smashing utilities. This club just keep going backwards. You can tell that they’re embarrassed by this signing by the timing of the announcement.

Most NRL clubs have similar stories.
