@Fade To Black:

Has appeared to be Hasler’s right hand man for many years- wonder why he left the Dogs……pushed or just took the WT GM job off his own bat?
Welcome aboard KE, hope you are part of the making of this club off the field instead of it being the almighty dog’s brekkie that it has been for many years. Good luck mate.

I tend to think he was forced out. Bulldogs kept Hasler on, but he has had to shed a few of his close assistants as part of the restructuring over there. Hopefully a win for us. Different roles though - assistant coach to GM

@Nelson:

@The Tooth:

Dont know anything about this bloke, but at 25 years and bugger all first grade it doesn’t fill me with much confidence.

Still not sure if or why we haven’t targeted Damian Cook.
With Robbie most likely going to the Rabbits, it would make sense that some deal could be done as he’s been lingering in reserve grade for the bunnies.

Cook is under contract and is now getting selected ahead of McInness. If Souths are actually signing Farah then Cook would make a better bench option for them than McInness as he’s got more impact about him and greater utility value (can cover the back line).

Thanks, I just found it strange that he was in reggies whilst McInness was in firsts. I rate Cook above McInness so thought Cook might be on the outer for some reason.

Another game for city next year, then who knows, but unlikely unless injury crisis to the blues.
He wouldn’t let anyone down though and does have the game to suit origin. His best attribute by far is his runs out of our end.

Patience doesn’t mean much on this forum. There have been plenty that had given up way to early on especially Moses, Brooks and Noffa.

I think the decision to drop Sironen has its merit, but can’t see how Edwards and Lovett get a start over him.

I’m not convinced in Kevvy’s defence, but his attack still just outweighs replacing him.

Rankin vs Addo Carr. About even imo, so doesn’t bother me too much (wouldn’t mind seeing Hunt given a go at wing though).

Hooker, I think we got it right with Liddle over Cherrington. Wont mention the Farah issue except to say we need another hooker next season, regardless of Ballins availability.

All in all things are looking bright for the future, but we will still need more patience as we are an inexperienced team. I understand the budget is tight, but just hope we can resign ET and get another centre/winger and another hooker.

Even if we dont make the 8, ss long as we are in the fight in all of our remaining games and finish 10th or above, I’m wrapped also. But finals would have me completely wrapped.

What happened to Damien Cook, i thought he went alright for the Bulldogs. Maybe the Tigers and Souths can come to some arrangement and we take Cook for Farah. Surely he’s a better option at no cost than Mortimer.

I think the teams cohesion in attack in recent weeks has less to do with Robbie not playing and more to do with Elijah Taylor joining our squad. You can also throw in the return of Tedesco from his injury layoff.

Still can’t understand how he thinks Robbie has such a detrimental effect on the team, yet Naqiama’s defence isn’t an issue.

I haven’t seen it, but I’ll be glad if its a crew cut.

Living in QLD, the locals up here bag him for being all locks and no mongrel.

I’m still giggling. That hit the funny spot for me - the watch. Would love to see that one day.

Very good Gary, thanks for the laugh.

I’ve got nothing…… maybe draw a fitbit as everyone seems to be wearing them these days.

Yeah there is a big push for Ipswich, but Toowoomba’s airport is a big advantage and I think Ipswich is still too close to compete with the Broncos for sponsors and supporters. But yeah Ipswich is a far more likely scenario for some reason.
