Adding this to the Taupau situation where he seems to be looking for an out i get the feeling the board is doing what it should have done last year and backing the coach not the players. Just a gut feeling.

RE: 15 Years, 5 coaches, 2 Finals, 1 Premiership
The blame can only be leveled at the board of the times.
Sheens was allowed to become too powerful and over stayed his usefulness by 3 years.
Potter was a token coach on a token wage who tried but just didnt have the power to make the changes he wanted.
In hindsight this was deliberate because they didnt want another Sheens.
Now Taylor has been appointed by the new board, a board it should be said with very very little rugby league experience. He talked defense and structure and got the job, didnt occur to anyone that the team he was inheriting had some of the best young attacking talent in the game.
The one thing we now have though is stability. The board, the ceo, the coach, they are all here for the long term and the lines of communication and unity are strong. Thats very different to how things used to be.

I ask myself does Taupau look happy playing under Jason Taylor.
I have my answer.

@Tiger In The Gong:
First thing you would do if you really wanted this to work was to admit your own short comings.
Second step would be to try to get an outspoken celebrity to organise it. A Ben Ellias or Alan Jones, someone who is already on record as being upset.
Get them involved and then you have legitimacy and a chance to gain some momentum.
personally i wouldnt attend if it was just about Farah, if it included the removal of Taylor and Go well then i would actually take a day off work to attend.
Get cracking then.
Start organizingYeah nah.
See again i was just communicating with other forum members offering opinions, shooting the breeze. As we do. Along you come interrupting again with another smart alec comment.
Anti social arent you.

All comes down to coaching.
Look at Melbourne with Duffy, Mann, Munster etc. They dont “need time” they are delivering on the big stage right now!
There are no excuses offered or accepted, just a sense of duty to perform and a coach who prepares them for that mental challenge.
At Wests Tigers we have the talent, we dont have the system or the coach to develop and prepare the talent.
what rubbish, it comes down to what u have to work with and we dont have the forward power to break a egg.
As i said there are no excuses offered or accpeted, the coach prepares them to perform regardless.
Way too simplistic to just say its squad strength, its only a small part of it.

If that wasn’t bad enough, whose idea was it to organize a rally on a week day
Are you sure Jason Taylor didnt organise this himself lol
What a waste of energy.
If he thinks that is going to help he is deluded.

And furthermore….
I have mentioned it prior - But the only fans that rate him is Tiger Fans…Everyone else hates him.
If Cam Smith was off contract tomorrow, There would be minimum 6 Clubs clearing the decks at the drop of a dime for him.
Farah has been outed for a month or more and there’s no bites…The harsh truth. Taking nothing away from what he’s done on the field, but he’d be on of the most disliked players to opposition fans. Some just can’t see outside the Wests Tigers universe, so that’s impossible to fathom. That’s not a criticism of the guy, just a plain fact.
Thats a fair point and one ive experienced with mates and other people who follow league, he isnt well liked or even respected. Considered a big head and all ego.
But if you want to go using that as ammunition in this argument you also need to accept that outside of the 50% of Wests Tigers fans who have thrown their support behind him Jason Taylor is a laughing stock of a coach who no one rates and no one who is serious about their footy would want anywhere near their club.
Fair is fair

It’s not the first time that Brooks and Moses have played with Cherrington on the field, nothing dramatic has been seen on most of those times.
Are you sure your rusted on hatred of anything Farah does, isn’t clouding your judgement.
Cherrington will eventually be our first grade hooker, but if you think he can handle it full time , you are kidding yourself.
Apart from that fact, The team cannot cover Another weak defender while Both the halves are together. We need to buy some forwards who can tackle and hurt, before bringing in another target, he needs another year and a lot of defence work.
Unfortunately we have no one here apparently, who has any success with coaching defence, so it’s time we got someone in.To put it another way, before last weekend I thought Brooks was an average halfback. A glorified distributor of the ball that kicked on the last. I then saw a glimpse of his abilities when Cherrington came onto the field. Handling 4/6 times in each set, running to the line, flat bullet passes placing players in holes.
Farah then comes on the field and Brooks is back to handling the ball 2/6 times per set with 1 of those occasions to put the bomb up. It was pretty stark to me.
What a load of agenda driven rubbish.
You can not be serious blaming Farah for Brooks having an average year.
This thread should be wound up….

Fair point Crusader, personally i dont buy the form or lack of hard work label leveled at him.
He is a square peg in a round hole under Taylor, just the way it is, no ones fault.
With a coach willing to invest in him i think he has a lot of potential.
He’d be an immortal under any other coach.
He’s not worth a bean - Taylor knows that and that is why he is looking elsewhere.
No way Russell. Clubs are lining up for him. Taylors the dud. I heard Hayne has been taking him up to the NFL powerbrokers.
The fact you guys dont like him make him a pretty cool guy in my books
