I keep reading that we need some speed in the backs, we have (arguably) the second fastest man in the NRL already.
OFFICIAL SPEED TRACKER

  1. Josh Addo-Carr 38.5 km/h
  2. David Nofoaluma 36.7 km/h
  3. Latrell Mitchell 36.6 km/h
  4. Matt Dufty 36.5 km/h
  5. Suliasi Vunivalu 36.1 km/h
  6. Tautau Moga 36.0 km/h
  7. Ryan Papenhuyzen 35.8 km/h
  8. James Tedesco 35.7 km/h
  9. Jack Wighton 35.6 km/h
  10. Bailey Simonsson 35.5 km/h
  11. Kayln Ponga 35.5 km/h
  12. Blake Ferguson 35.5 km/h
  13. Victor Radley 35.3 km/h
  14. Edrick Lee 35.3 km/h
  15. Te Maire Martin 35.3 km/h
  16. James Roberts 35.2 km/h

Taken from the Daily Telegraph article last year. Shirvo also commented that Nofoaluma controlled his speed better than anyone else on the list and with some specific training had the potential to top the list. Sure, he has a few defensive issues at times but is that his fault or the team structure? Not too long ago most of us were saying that Ado-carr wasn’t fit for first grade because he had nothing to his game but speed. What changed when he got to the storm? The defensive structures managed to cover his weaknesses and let him shine. David does a lot of kick returns and dirty hit ups that would severely hinder his speed when the opportunities come but still has managed some massive run downs over the last couple of seasons. I think he is massively underrated. And he has ten times the heart of Mitchell, we dodged a bullet.
Just my two cents.

Is this average speed over a distance or top speed?

Mogo and his 6 ACL’s is 6th…haha…rubbish stats

Summary of Souths insiders:

  1. Douehei is gone. Did not do promos / not in camp.
  2. Douehei wants Wests Tigers: family live nearby, is friends with Seyfarth and others.
  3. Souths won’t pay anything IF he goes to Wests.
  4. Melb want Douehei, Bellamy rates him highly.
  5. Souths will contribute IF he does to Melb and then get JAC in return.
  6. Douehei does not want to go to Melb. Similar to many Lebanese guys, wants to be near his family (fair enough). Hoping Tigers come to the party and he can join them.
  7. Souths and Melb both will benefit if he goes to Melb…the kid thus under pressure, has been given a few days off.

My own comments = just get it done. He wants us and has big upside. Someone in Tigertown with a brain should surely be thinkin “Bennet loves the kid, Bellamy wants the kid, Robinson is line also…” and realise there is a reason for that…

Get it done.

Then sign up, we tabled our offer…I think it’s only a matter of time…we want him, he wants us

“Canberra have already paid around $200,000 of Leilua’s $700,000 deal, and are only prepared to throw in an extra $100,000 to seal the Canberra-to-Concord deal.”
Joey BJ Leilua for 400K where do we sign?

AD would only cost us $350k this year

Its not this years contract thats the problem. He wants a four year deal.

Give him 3 yrs plus 4th in clubs favour…AD’s manager is Sam Ayoub, he gets on with Pascoe

2 years, 1 year club option

If we are giving BJ a 3 year deal, AD deserves 3+1

Now I know how members on this forum have really high post counts. The last dozen pages have a handful of people posting every second post saying the same thing in every one of their posts.
Ad nauseum.

Solution…read every 4th post

So if Paul Crawley is on the money and we don’t sign AD, understanding that we are most likely to start with Corey at the back for 2020, does anybody know of a quality fullback that is either in reserves or whose contract is due? And who would you buy?

I know of Sean Meaney and Bubba Kennedy

If doueihi is to fail I would love Kennedy

Kennedy is a hard runner…dont know if he has a passing game tho
