God, Thomo leaves with class and on a great note with fans and club wishing (genuinely) the best.

Scumbag enters and muddies up the waters. What a complete tool.

How are people still debating if LM would be a good signing? If he only lives up to a fraction of what we expect, he’s still a better No.1 option. Plus he kicks.

Plus! The club just needs a “win”. Signing LM would do wonders for members, sponsors and the general feel for the club. Worried that he’s “unproven” in fullback just boggles the mind. If the club is lucky enough to convince the kid to play for the tigers it would be a master stroke ( or a large bag or cash) either way, win win.

      Great Player, S**t bloke.

-Knowingly tried to avoid the cap (unless you believe it normal to sign two contracts and get paid in Harvey Norman gift cards
-Chicken wing, grapple tackles and crushers, all spawned out of his watch. If he was a good bloke he would of not implemented what the wrestling coach taught
-Alex Mc-I know he didn’t know the full extent at the time but Ill always remember him standing over Alex complaining about the penalty to the ref
-on refs, his constant whining to the ump’s. Its pathetic.

The guy has hate for a reason, not cause he’s a great player and competitor (which he is) its because his actions represent the worst of the game.

    • RE: Where do you want us to play?

10 people vote for Bank West. I assume 2 did it accidentally. 1 misunderstood the question
and 1 did it ironically. Still leaves 6. Strange.

Its not and never will be a neutral ground let alone a home for anyone else other than the eels for NRL games. They can call it “the jungle” put pictures of tigers and and make all the lights orange. It will be the Eels ground.

The club already struggles with an identity issue. This ground with all its shinny features will only add to that.

If wests are not going to play out of our traditional homes (LO/CSS) it has to be a proper neutral ground. ANZ ticks that box. Bank west is a failed experiment of the tiges, time to move on.

6 pages in 5 hours on LM.

Don’t have to admit you were wrong, just quietly open it, move these 5 pages over there and we can carry on.

Fantastic player who loves the cold, you will win a cup with JR. I’d suggest you start a grass roots campaign to get the club to sign him at all costs. West’s would probably chick in a international prop if you can loosen the “ criminal record” thing at the boarder.

A lot of people are using primary school level Rugby League knowledge to hide their true feelings that they just don’t like this guy. Or any ego players for that matter. Happy to finish 9th this lot.

More important to be a “good bloke” than have talent.

I just want to buy finals tickets to watch my team. Any player that can get me that will be a good bloke in my eyes.

Only tigers fans could complain about signing a guy who visibly shows his passion for the club and breaks his backside every week for us , lol

Some leaks I have heard are 450k a year with the 4th year a club option

You can’t understand that there would be some reservations around the length of the contract? Look at the recent past, how have these big contracts worked out for the club.

Add to that, look at Nofa’s form. One good season. One. The club is not locking in a time proven, consistent player. They are locking in a bloke with one good season.

Passion is great, finals is better. I support Wests Tigers. Every decision the club makes has to be with the soul purpose of getting better.

Anyways, its done now. Let’s hope Nofa repays the faith and expands on last season.

      4 years for Nofa lol.

Well, at least its comforting that in a dynamic and changing world, the Wests Tigers still do Wests Tigers things.

He has just turned 27 - he should be at his peak over the next 3 years - depending on the coin i don’t see much downside.

I am a fan of the club and want success, I hope you’re right.

I see more downside but again, I’m a fan and hope I’m wrong.

With the current talk centering around Benji being offered $150K for a year with the Roosters, I wonder if we couldn’t do something to keep him in our colours, in spirit at least. Could we give him the same amount to be captain/coach of the Wests Magpies. He gets some money, some time for a bit of media work, doesn’t take a spot in the 30, and creates massive interest in the reserve grade comp. I assume we’d need to throw the coach bit in there or his wage would kill us cap wise. Surely the NRL/NSWRL would sign off on this for the interest generation alone.

And then if there is a few injuries he could come back into the FG team. Except, its the last game of the season and Wests are playing at LO against Penrith…plot twist, WT need the win to secure their first finals appearance in a decade.

Spoiler- Penrith win 42-6. Benji announces he wants to run around again at the presser.

      James Hooper warning:

Exclusive: South Sydney target Tigers star David Nofoaluma as Corey Allan joins Bulldogs

The Wests Tigers face a fresh fight to retain Dally M winger of the year David Nofoaluma with the South Sydney Rabbitohs poised to make a play to sign the robust speedster for 2022.

Nofoaluma had a breakout 2020 season for the Tigers, scoring 17 tries in 20 NRL matches and collecting the club’s best and fairest Kelly-Barnes Award award.

With Corey Allan switching from South Sydney to Canterbury-Bankstown effective immediately as of Monday, the Bunnies are now eyeing off making a play to lure the Wests Tigers winger for next season.

Queensland State of Origin debutant Allan trained with the Bulldogs on Monday after agreeing to a three-year deal to play under Trent Barrett at Canterbury-Bankstown.

Nofoaluma enjoyed his most consistent season in the NRL last year with Fox Sports Lab numbers confirming the Dally M winger of the year made 112 tackle busts, 19 line breaks and seven try-assists.

His 112 tackle busts ranked 4th in the NRL and the seven try-assists were equal first with NSW Origin flyer Josh Addo-Carr for most try assists from a winger.

Wests Tigers chairman Lee Hagipanetlis enjoys an extremely tight bond with Nofoaluma and is adamant the Tigers will do everything within reason to ensure the local junior remains at Concord.

“I had dinner with David last night where I reaffirmed the club’s commitment about how we want him to be at the Wests Tigers for life,” Hagipantelis said.

“We absolutely want David to be a one club player and he’s told the club this is also his preference.”

The sticking point for Wests Tigers is the length of Nofoaluma’s new contract. The club wants to sign the 27-year-old to a three-year deal until the end of 2024.

But Nofoaluma’s agent Sam Ayoub is pushing for a four-year deal.

The off-contract Tigers winger has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Parramatta Eels to replace Blake Ferguson at the end of this year but this has been strongly refuted.

Both South Sydney and Wests Tigers have also been linked with Panthers grand final winger Josh Mansour.

Mansour has been told by the Panthers he is free to leave to join a rival NRL club.

The Rabbitohs confirmed Allan’s release from the remainder of his contract on Monday.

“His preferred position, and his best position, is fullback and the opportunity to play in that position on a regular basis is not there with us.” Head of football Mark Ellison said in a statement.

“He feels he will have a better opportunity to play fullback at his new club, on an extended and improved deal than that which he had with us,”

“We felt it would be unfair to stand in the way of Corey progressing his career somewhere else, he will always be a Rabbitoh, and we wish him and his partner Teigan all the best for the future. “

It’s not about about the terms of the contract, or even the years.

It’s about the dollars. Nofa wants to get paid.

So the question is - What is Nofa realistically worth to our or another club?

How do you know ? I’d prefer a little less for 4 years if I knew I was a winger , and it’s definitely a young mans position. Especially when you see how 31 year olds are treated in the nrl . Sauce is exhibit A for this .

His management and PR team have been pretty clear.

He wants more money based on being the 2020 Dally M winger of the year whilst he rolls into a potentially lucrative contract in 2022.

WTs offered him a new contract in late November, but we haven’t heard anything since.

I’m going to make a calculated guess that we offered him $500k but he wants more.

Pretty sure we’ll all know Nofa’s decision by the end of the month.

500 for Nofa just doesnt sit right. One good season out of 6 and talk of a 4 year deal at 500k for a 27 year old winger.

Money aside, 3 years max with the third year in the club’s favour is the only logical choice. Nofa seems like a good clubman but if he can get better than that at the bunnies, good luck to him.

Props @daboss and @Aj1 for picking up mistakes

Look at those gains to losses . Everyone signed is better than the person they’re replacing . Even Benji ( sorry 22 try assists whilst letting in a billion tries means I don’t rate you. I’d rather win 12-8 than lose 36-34)

Agreed…although Its generally this time of the year my optimism starts creeping back in. Who knows.
