Balmain Football Club - 50% = 5 men/5 Votes on WT Board
Wests Group - 50%
Wests Ashfield Leagues Club - 30% = 3 men/3 Votes on WT Board
Wests Campbelltown Leagues Club - 10% = 1 man/1 vote on WT Board
Wests Magpies Football Club -10% = 1 man/1vote on WT Board ……
There in lies the problem.

RE: The end for the Weststigers
Wests Tigers is a joint venture of Balmain and Wests, it’s a collaboration between two clubs on the NRL stage. To make it work, both clubs need to contribute, both clubs need equal representation in the Wests Tigers identity. Simple. …but still not simple enough for some fans to grasp the concept.
The joint venture has been anything but equal, Wests kick in more coin, Balmain get the branding, colours, the juniors, players to their NSW Cup side… I could go on… …but to keep it simple for simple folk, if a mate an I collaborate and buy a carton of beer, each chipping in 50% of the total cost, we have a discussion about what type of beer we want and then split it equally. If and mate and I buy a carton of beer but the costs are split 80/20 the partner who contributes the least doesn’t get to choose the type of beer and may only have a few beers rather than half the carton.
So how about the Balmain folk show some humility and gratitude to their Wests brothers for keeping them and the joint venture afloat? Without Wests there would be no Balmain. Full stop.
It has been a one sided JV from the start. From day dot Balmain has held sway in the clubs operation , from first coach to , as we have seen re junior representatives so on so forth. The funding doesn’t match the representation of the club board and is a disgrace. To keep the club strong , and to look to the future , the board MUST be representative to the $$ coming in from the partners. Sorry , but money talks …bullcrap walks and Humphreys had to be pushed. Either the board is structured to accurately reflect the amounts contributed by the parties involved.Yes hard decisions need to be made , but with Balmain not coughing up the folding stuff , and the Macarthur District being neglected as to FUTURE growth (the Roosters are already a parasitic presence in the area ) its a bit hard for the Wests faction to accept the status quo .If the board is NOT appointed to represent the actual financial contribution of the participants , I am sure the Wests side of the JV will bide its time and allow Balmain to slowly bleed to death , forcing a complete take over of the franchise.
RE: Worst Player To Play NRL
Mine is a list of 5. I agree with happy tiger……the #1most useless Player to strap on a WEST’S TIGERS jersey HAS to be NICK GRAHAM , as useless as an ashtray on a Harley . There is a huge gap of SUNLIGHT till my next victim .Well I am going to offend a few old sparring partners & ruffle some feathers here( Simon & Co ) with one of my next few…
#2 Darren Senter…why ?..GRUB/CHEAT/HOG/OVERRATED BY BALMAIN FANS, and most importantly , a full on WRONG OPTIONER !!The amount of games we would have won without him playing the game for himself …I don’t have enough fingers and toes to count them !!
#3 Jason Cayless…well…why did they even contemplate him to begin with??? Shot duck…at least two seasons previous.
#4 Adam Blair…not only was he USELESS but ( with the absolute worst management decision since signing Nick Graham , SHAME !! AND A BIG UPPERCUT to Tim Sheens, Stephen Humphreys ,Warren McDonnell and ANY board member who agreed to it !! ) he cost the Tigers 2/5ths of their BEST run on side.
#5 Last on my list is the winger , Ahmed Bajouri . He had the pace of a dish-licker , but the hands of an arthritic nun…shame he did have potential.
Special mentions go out to Fitzy : He could really piss me off one week then would have a blinder a couple of games later the bugger !!! A real love hate relationship there . Matthew Rieck: Blistering speed and great evasive skills . What went wrong ? Dazzled everyone when he was in the ‘Shire’ , fizzled in a Tigers jersey. Ryan O’Hara:…read Jason Cayless.
Merry X-Mass and Happy New Year to all !!! :supporter: Remember ,ask Santa for better management strategies and player commitment at the club in 2013
RE: Braithe's position.
I haven’t been on in ages …had a lot happening in life. I had to log in and see the forums reactions to a few things. Now I will admit that when it was announced we hat signed Loti back in the day , I thought NOOOOO!!! he is to old and past it. He proved me wrong at the time ( though I feel he may NOW be ’ past it ’ , time will tell ) and I ate my words.
Anasta ,he is another kettle of fish. At 30 and way past his best ( A Roosters fan friend is glad to see the back of him ,and laughed at the Tigers even cosidering him ) My guess is that he is to be played in the forwards .I hope he is worth the money we are going to pay him…as we already have too many players on overs ATM , especially a few of the recent signings. however my gut tells me this is the second worse decision made by the powers that be , the other releasing Fiffita to the Sharkies :crazy . By the way , I do rate A.Blair …but he hasnt hit his straps and is not…repeat NOT an 80 minute player.
As for the rest of the team…hey boys …I know we’ve got injuries…but …TURN UP TO PLAY and at least earn your money :wtf
RE: Tigers feel loss but true grit is kicking in
All I want to say is this, earlier this year things were not looking good for the tigers, there was a chance of not making the top 8…who would have ever believed without Dweyer, fiffita, Payton, gibbsy injured and of the field after 10 minutes in the semi final and making the semi’s without these guys…along with both lotte and lawrence out for most the season and back without much match practise and other injuries and problems with in the team that after all that our boys would rally and win 9 games in a row to make the semi’s and just fall short on the bell…Benji, it was an amazing effort and all of us supporters were proud of your efforts this year…hold your heads up boys this season will only make us stronger for next year…I’m proud to call myself a tiger.
RE: Official nrl chokers
We tried to protect the lead…hard call for a coach, with a player like Benji telling them to go for it at half time could have meant a greater loss…but of coarse it could have been a score like Brisbane’s effort last week too…they had to play the percentages unfortunately that’s not the tigers way…if you went back to when we were struggling to make the semi’s with all the dis harmony and injuries throughout this year overall we can be proud of our blokes for their achievements in 2011…we’ll get them next year… chin up boys Balmain boys don’t cry.
RE: Will the tigers be stronger in 2012 than in 2011
I think we could be stronger, yes we are loosing some talent and it’s sad to see them go, but don’t forget Mathew Bell…him and Adam blair will add some new dynamics in force to our forward pack and having the fastest man in the comp along with Lawrence will give Benji options that will terrorize the other teams…
RE: Does this week seem just a little too easy?
I don’t think it will be easy , the tigers need to keep there intensity up…the warriors are dangerous…yes Brisbane smashed them last week, DON’T be fooled by that 1 off bad performance…we lost to Souths last year by 45 points and turned it around the following week…those types of matches happened and Brisbane only lost by one point the last time they played…I’m expecting a close game.
