Gould didn’t come down in the last shower …
He’s a sneaky [automatically edited] !
My only concern in all of this was Ivan’s last interview
He mentioned he didn’t want to be involved in nepotism and pick Nathan while his position wasn’t guaranteed
Maybe the Cleary “sacking” was all a ruse from Penrith and they bring him back once Nathan was /is established
I highly doubt it ……but you never know
Ivan seems a class act , sort of the bloke whose "word is his bond "
But family is family
Still think Barrett would be the best bet , but who knows …Bennett now has no family ties …
Gould always gets what he wants .
$ is king !
Gus loves Barrett , heard him a few times absolutely rave about him
Not signing NC would force us to get our forward pack right , I’m not against that
Ivan cleary comes out last week tells the media he is happy and Love’s being at the West’s tiger’s the day before its reported Nathan cleary is a done deal to the tigers for 2020 possibly even for 2019. I personally think Nathan would of filled his dad In on what was going on at Penrith in regards to Anthony griffin so if Ivan really had plans to go back to Penrith then he would of been able to get some sought of plan going with Gus months ago. Ciraldo is Gus’s last act to try keep Nathan at the club he knows ciraldo is close with Nathan and will use ciraldo up if he can’t get Nathan to sign then Gus will let him have his 2 months of fame as head coach then sack him aswel. Ivan knows what sought of person Gus is and I doubt Ivan will be sucked in twice. Penrith are a unstable club with no coach and a dictator for a general manager. Hope they enjoy being in the headlines for the next 4months.
From good old Buzz
Which NRL captain has fallen out with his halfback and playmaker, who he claims has an out-of-control ego.
Tim Mannah would have seen a bit bit of Moses recently……
Would have to be Roosters, Eels or Warriors
In absolute respect for what you say, i dunno bout the roosters being this club, as cordner and pearce are portrayed as being best mates!..…unless of course cordner has already fallen out with cronk :roll
It proabably isn’t the Rooster but Cronk does have a big ego. And for Cronk to be at the Roosters, Pearce was kicked out which probably doesn’t sit well with Cordner because they were mates.
It is probably Parra because Moses has the biggest ego in the entire competition.
Im pretty sure i read something saying that brodie croft has a out of control ego and several senior players have sat him down and had a chat about it. Explains why storm went after pearce.
Tim Grant saying that while he would like to return to Penrith he remains fully committed to us for the coming season.
We would need to replace him. Who can we sign?
We dont need to replace him. We have plenty of depth in the forwards. Despite saying he is committed to the club i dont believe him. He was looking to get out during the 2017 season and only took up the 1yr deal that was in his! Favour because no one wanted him. He picked up his form towards the back end of the year because he wanted a better deal from another club. I think he is sly. We finished getting rid of all the poor attitudes… its become apparent that their is still 1 more to go.
I think the other thing he gives… Is he is West Tigers.
If he mentors the new players, they will play like him. Maybe it doesn’t mean much to people, but I loved watching Benji play. Seriously he was entertaining and awesome to watch.
We rebuilt our team, we needed too. But I am glad that Benji can be around again. I don’t want to just support 17 randoms every year. I want our class to remain.
I realise we are not the Magpies of the 1970’s, but we still have a little of their working class guts. Were also not the brutish Tigers of the 1980’s, but I do see a little Blocker in some of our forwards. Were not the WT’s of 2005 and the flair/fast football that Sheens pushed. Yes it was fantastic to watch but we are changing, but it is still there a little. I’m glad Benji is there, it helps the WT be the WT. It’s good to recognise two players on the field.
Mate this is honestly the post of the year. I couldnt agree with you anymore. Well said.
It’ll be interesting how Newcastle go next year. They look to have a decent squad with a lot more quality players than what we have. I still think we may go better than them because I think our side will hopefully be tough and have plenty of depth.
I agree but I do think, with the Pearce signing, Newcastle have bought better than us overall. I don’t rate him at SOO level but I believe he’s a very good first grade half and will lift Newcastle next year. If they click next year they’ll be strong contenders for the top 8.
Packer-es ses or however you spell it.
Plus we poached heath gibbs and sam mcintyre from them… i think overall we have recruited much better than the knights. Now Pearce has signed with them expectations go through the roof the johns bros think they are a top 8 side now… if things dont work out its good buy nathan brown.
