Scolari is underwhelming after all the hype about him. Another tiny winger, and not that fast.

What a stupid comment! I watched the game on the live stream and you only had to listen to the commentators after he wasn’t passed the ball with line wide open not once but TWICE (one by a development player the second time mind you) and could not get the ball. That can happen in trials when others are trying to impress and go themselves.

If you watched the tape he only touched the ball from a high ball which he took well. Almost saved a try when he flipped Naden over on the try line after Talau went down on the short side. He basically had only 18 minutes on the field when Panthers had 90% of the ball with penalties so how you could say he was slow is ridiculous. I also suggest you take a look at club stats and watch highlights from games from last year.

Dillon showed good speed - query over high ball - needs to work on that and his passing. Madden very good. Cini solid without being spectacular.

Give these kids a break - comments like that doesn’t help. They’ll go back to CC and Flegg and learn their trade - I would say reserve your criticism if by mid season they are not performing.

Looks like I hit a nerve. Why is scolari immune to criticism but it’s okay for others?

Not bagging him, not his fault people are hyping him up on here. Most of the young players we put out there were out of their depth and are barely CC level at this stage of their development.

Back to Scolari, his lack of size means he’s way behind the eightball to begin with so he’s going to need the speed of addo-Carr. I didn’t see that speed.

Other players hyped on here that come to mind are one Rhys Pritchard and one Josh davis… I never really knew who they were and still don’t.

Wonder if Dave has ever has winger-specific training? Does every position need their own coach now? Mbye needs 5 coaches.

Wasn’t Moses coached by Jason Taylor?

The Doueihi family questioning how appreciated he’d be at WTs, HA I hope they arent for real. If they think the Roosters care about him then they are as thick as planks. The Roosters will wipe him as soon as Billy Smith returns or Xerri signs. He’d be considered an integral part of our team, yet an understudy or back up option at the Roosters. I try not to buy into these articles but when they 💩can WTs it revs me up.

A WT trainer told me last week that the players are laughing at Doueihi asking 500k plus and would be filthy if we signed him for that. Opinion at training is we already have at least equal potential already on no where near what he’s asking. If he signs for massive overs and we end up pissing off every other young gun we’ve got we’ve shot ourselves in the foot (again). He was VERY doubtful Doueihi would sign.

I am sure the players all sit around at lunch and talk about how much coin they are on, as I know that is a good morale boost. I thought we were way past the players dictating terms. Doueihi is entitled to every cent that Souths were going to pay him. If he takes less but we sign him for an extra year, then that appears to me to be a good compromise.

Unfortunately WTs management will never be perceived to be doing anything right. I want to sign AD and JL but these clowns are holding our club to ransom. AD is still an unproven talent and he wants to start barking orders at us. Who do these clowns think we are? Oh yeah, a laughing stock. We sign these players on our terms or meet them in the middle with contract extension options. Both these players hardly have the 16 clubs racing for their signature and as a matter of fact they aren’t even wanted by their current clubs. A poorly managed club would throw everything at them just like we did with JR, Packer and Mbye. Let’s just relax and see if our management is better and broker a deal that’s in everyone’s best interest.

I think your right and I don’t really get it. The history our club has is unmatched in the league bar probably Souths. To run out onto Leighhardt Oval to a packed crowd would be one of the ultimate experiences you can have in league.

Why wouldn’t a fullback want to come here and run off Benji Marshall for his last one or two years of his career. He would triple his try scoring ability over night (which would push up his price in the market).

The club has work to do on their image and they accept that. but it is when our fellow supporters criticise our recruitment and use language to stipulate that we will always be failures that really gets on my nerves. If the supporters cannot talk the club up then why would other teams supporters, player managers and the like do so?

We have bought some really impressive talent in the lower grades for this year. I do hope we pick up these two guys to boost our short term prospects, but in my opinion the seeds have been sown. We keep our dirty laundry in house and we recruit the best of the up and coming talent. We just need the professionalism to bring them through, and a few positive articles in the press and we are on our way.

Watch what the papers write if we win 7 of our first 10 matches…West Tigers are everyone elses second team and we sell papers. We just need to start selling them for the right reasons.

The hysteria on here never ceases to amaze me!

It wasn’t that long ago that information was flowing from the club like a leaky boat in the Potter and Taylor era’s. Now the ship is locked up tight, no information comes out except for a couple of cooperative journalists. So most of the reporters make stuff up about Wests Tigers and yet people here continue to believe it.

How on earth would Hooper know anything about contract negotiation in Wests Tigers? He has been an outcast for some time now and as such he holds a grudge. He has been caught out numerous times yet it looks like everyone still accepts what he writes as gospel.

Mitchell always wanted to go to Souths. Its a club his father supported all his life. You can only make your best offer, and there is no shame in the offer not being accepted. I would be cautious as to how much WT are prepared to pay for AD, and I would not like to see them offer too many years for BJ either. But I believe we are well positioned for both.

As for the Roosters poaching AD, how could they have the funds available when they only lost their centre 30 hours ago? Doesn’t dispensation have to be submitted and approved by the NRL?

Anyone else had mail that Arrow is coming to us? I am not one to normally spread random rumours, and have been as disappointed as anyone else with the players we were meant to get but haven’t, but my information is that we have snuck under Souths noses and will get him.

Tigers were huge favs at one point prior to sam burgess medical retirement. Word is arrow agreed about a month or so ago with Souths.

I am happy to be proven wrong, but I don’t believe he has signed with Souths at all. My mail is third hand and not a direct source but they did seem very confident and claimed to get the information from Jai himself. Fingers crossed as I’d prefer Arrow to Mitchell. He could be our Gareth Ellis

You could make a pretty good first grade team with the players tigers have managed to let go over the last 7 years. Their recruitment and retention programs are severely flawed. Would be bottom 3 in the league

Is this set up for a swap with Josh Reynolds?

Who signs for a year? Panthers sign players for 4-5 years and then flick them after 2. Didn’t hurt Matto to sign a longer term contract and leave after 1 year.
