It was his best game in a long time. He carted the ball up hard and made good metres, positioned Kev up perfectly for his try. He was excellent in defence and saved a try by holding Hoppa up. The only blemish was his play the ball which I will admit was a shocker. Who would you have replace him? I think it all depends on how the Nofoaluma experiment goes. But based on Todays game he deserves to stay in first grade in my opinion.

RE: Last WT game you attended
Round 3 2006, Jade Stadium vs Warriors. We lost but it was the best day of my young life meeting all the players at the after game function. As a 12 year old I was too starstruck to talk when I met the almighty Benji Marshall. I envy all Sydney based fans, I’d love to watch the boys play live again.
RE: Blake Austin interview
He’s a keeper. Maybe shift him to centres when teddy goes to 1 and Moses to 6? He’s such a great ball runner.
I think its a no brainer; I reckon he would make a great centre.
I could see Blake turning into a more dynamic and energetic Jamie Lyon type centre with a good passing and kicking game.
A mouthwatering backline
We hold the Championship Belt.
Ok so it’s not a real thing, but a few People in http://www.reddit.com/r/nrl were talking about a ‘Championship Belt’. The basic premise is there’s a fictional ’ Championship Belt’ that’s held by the previous years winner (in our case the Sydney Roosters). This team holds the ‘belt’ until the next round, where that teams opponent for that week will ‘challenge’ for the belt. This is How this year has gone…
Roosters - 2013 Premiers
Round 1 - Rabbitohs def. Roosters = Rabbitohs
Round 2 - Manly def. Rabbitohs = Manly
Round 3 - Manly def. Eels = Manly
Round 4 - Manly def. Roosters = Manly
Round 5 - Tigers def. Manly = Tigers
credit goes to /u/SKiiTTLEz for the idea.
RE: Benji Marshall Blues to cut their losses
How can you expect a League player to transition to professional Rugby that quickly. He trains all off season at 10 then a few games in he is put into the 15 jersey and has to learn a new position. Even the “Great” SBW took two seasons in a French Rugby competition before he got a hang off the game. Marshall is playing in a harder competition is in the media’s eye where any mistake he makes is going to be swooped on and exploited by the vultures of journos circling him.
RE: Wests Tigers - GC 9's game thread
I think we can still go alright, we seem to be finding the space easy enough its just our ball security isn’t up to scratch, if we hold onto the ball and start getting the bounce of the ball we will definitely trouble the knights and sharks.
RE: The what did you dream about last night thread
Dreamt I was attacked by two wolves at night on the back road to my house. Turns out I had a bunch of apples in my bag and threw the apples at the wolves because I knew that they hated apples (Dream knowledge) then I woke up. Needless to say it was weird, cheese dreams strike again.
RE: BREAKING - MARSHALL LEAVING
Thanks for everything Benji as a young Kiwi lad growing up you were my hero, you were the man who made me support this club, you were the player I pretended to be playing on the field at school with my mates, I am and always will be a fan. I know I am not the only Tigers fan that this once in a lifetime player brought to this club.
All those who are saying good riddance are just childish, sure he hasn’t been his old self but this man nearly single handily put this club where it is today. He helped turn this club from a laughing stock to a team that won a premiership within a short few years and would have had another few if not for poor and head scratching coaching decisions around player selection.
I feel cheated, he could have been anything if he had a dominant half and forward pack to work with instead of Sheens messing him around trying to turn him into a Joey Johns when he was a Benji Marshall.
The Season isn’t over yet take us out in style.
Chur Benji. You will be missed. Now go win us a Gold Medal in the Sevens
I Just watched Bons Highlights of Chris, It’s a real sad sight to see, his running style has gone from a gazelle to a wildebeest. I don’t think we should rush him back to first grade yet. I would much prefer him to spend the rest of the year loosing a bit of weight (3-5 Kilo), working with sprint coaches to get his technique right again and getting his fitness and confidence back up in State Cup. Right now he doesn’t offer the team much at all in attack and is a liability in defence. Give him a full off season uninjured and I feel as though he could start taking a step in the right direction and we could start to see him burning off Slater down the touchline again. As we all know form is temporary, class is permanent.

Marika Koroibete can pick oranges from an apple tree and make the best lemonade youve ever tasted.
Once a cobra bit Marika Koroibete’s leg. After five days of excruciating pain, the cobra died.
Marika Koroibete doesn’t play “hide-and-seek.” He plays “hide-and-pray-I-don’t-find-you.”
Death once had a near-Marika Koroibete experience.

Marika Koroibete counted to infinity. Twice.
Marika Koroibete once climbed Mt. Everest in 15 minutes, 14 of which he was building a snowman at the bottom.
I heard he once slammed a revolving door on the way to a game of connect four which he won in three turns. He is also the only man ever to touch MC Hammer.
