There’s no doubt, WE’RE A SOFT TARGET. !
The MEDIA says we have to release Aloia so that’s what we’ll do.
We’ll probably send him over to Brookvale in a stretch limo and foot the bill, just to appease the pigs at News Corp.
I respect the Storm more for their hard edge demands for a quality replacement in the JAC negotiation. The very player they requested (and we protected) is now pee-ing us up against the walls of The Daily Telegraph building.

We are going to be compensated - have you forgotten that already. Just not with a player.

You’re not privy to that information, don’t assume.

Great signing, the engine room is beefing up, no more excuses for Brooks now - Big Units up front and Benji’s domination extinguished.

Noff had a breakout year but I’m not going to lose any sleep if he moves on - memories of the defensive lapses over past seasons still fresh in my mind. I love his passion and he’s a likeable guy but as soon as Madge came out and told the Storm “David’s not going anywhere, he’s the heart and soul of Wests Tigers” you knew that his manager was contacting the Royal Mint in Canberra to ascertain how quickly they can produce more coin for his next contract. JAC is far more dynamic.

Benji knows how to keep the lights on with the media, as he drifted out of the headlines along came the story about his wife farting in front of him for the first time … shows why Benji was a good Captain - at the flip of a coin he always chose to run with the ‘wind’

I think give up on JAC,clearly doesn’t want to be at the club after dogging is twice, don’t give him a 3rd chance at doing it

I agree, we are just a bargaining chip for JAC, no doubt he had a good laugh with his ‘thick as 2 planks’ mate Latrell Mitchell - they both benefited from protracted ‘Claytons’ negotiations to serve their own interests.
Time to steer clear of these self-loved-up hypocrites!

It is good that players feel comfortable in speaking with Maguire. This seems to be at odds with how some like to portray him in the media.

I get the impression that the club has organised the roles in the recruitment and retention process so that Madge plays the sympathetic, almost father-figure type role, while Hartigan is the hard man making the tough decision.

For example, Benji approaches Madge and says that he has heard that he won’t be offered a new deal. This is news to Madge. He tells Benji to give him 24 hours and he will see what he can do. He comes back to Benji full of sympathy. “I’m sorry Benji, but the decision has been made…”.

McIntyre phones Madge and says that he still hasn’t received a formal offer from the club and that the Titans have tabled an offer, which he has accepted. Madge expresses surprise and regret that he is going. He tells Macca that he wanted to keep him. Obviously the football department has stuffed up…

This way, Madge stays on good terms with the playing group while Hartigan plays the role of the man making the unpopular decisions.

✅You’ve nailed it

When was the last time an Aboriginal played for us? Probably JAC. The only other 2 I can think of are Daine Laurie the first and John Simon 20 years ago. Haven’t been many.

The centre (from Newcastle) I’ve lost his name, was not fit, not sure if that WT’s or Balmain though.

Is Joe O aboriginal?

Every other club releases players from their final year contract to take up another deal…Rabbits let Sirro go to the warriors today, yet no club releases player to join the Tigers…???

Especially when Ivan The Terrible is involved.
