Has he toured our facilities ?
Yep, he’s even more keen after seeing what’s on offer.
That Dogs fan is a troll. I don’t believe him at all.
That Dogs fan is a Tigers fan.
Or some fool when TPJ signs with the dogs, he’ll comeback and troll us. What a fraud.
Name and shame em @Cultured_Bogan
Who’s got the time to make second accounts and do this type of stuff?
I will not be giving out their name. They are a previously banned member.
Wait, so it’s a confirmed troll? Damn, almost got my hopes up for a third time.
It’s not the hardest thing in the word. Look at the amount of likes his post got. People here are like seagulls diving on a chip.
Guilty as charged, the mere whiff of a chip gets me going.
Hands up for me too mate. I used to love the scent of a woman but nowadays the wiff of a chip gets my rocks off
They set a precedent after the Jai Arrow incident so didn’t have a lot of choice.
Really they need to look at de-registering players for 12+ months for any future breaches given the risks to the entire competition. I’m sure the RLPA would complain about how unfair it all is though.
Can someone please explain the mindset that thinks we’ve missed out on a ‘marquee’ player in not getting TPJ for an inflated price? Because I’m just not seeing it.
Remembering this is a guy who’s own club publicly threw him out to the market, the night before a home game, by deliberately feeding details to the press.
The same club currently running 15th and holders of last year’s wooden spoon, experiencing the worst run of their entire history, who are massively lacking in first grade experience and leadership didn’t want the guy. Surely that rings some alarm bells.
Do we try and get Milford cheap or Blake Ferguson cheap?
Milford: Can’t even be consistently picked in the Broncos first grade team, on $1m per year to play in the InTrust Super Cup.
Ferguson: Dumped due to terrible/non-existent edge defence. As if we need more of that!
Neither of these players actually fix anything for us on the field.
I’m happier not signing anyone than simply recruiting players because they’re available (due to being discarded by clubs who aren’t really in much better position than us (and far worse in the case of the Broncos)).
Take care of yourself and those around you folks.
Lockdown and the pandemic more broadly is affecting people in different ways, though I am seeing this play out on a few different forums in similar ways - generally people’s fuses are a lot shorter and arguments break out over stuff that’s inconsequential.
Again, take care of yourself and those around you (even in the ‘on the internet’ sense).
The Lomax rumours has gone so I assume that was just a Morale boosting rumour…
Add to that we have kept Walters and Mbye even though we had a chance to offload…
Walters is back to Broncos for 2022.
I’ve been informed Lomax wants to join us and of course Madge wants him.
Lawyers sorting out paperwork as he is a contracted player but it’s still a massive chance.
The person has a good strike who informed me so let’s see what happens.
Is this before or after we sign Cotric ???
Cotric deal isn’t cold yet
Curtis Rona is still a chance. He liked an Instagram story on the Tigers the other day. Key word - Liked. Think about it……
Cotric and Lomax both for 22, Demps?
Lol, I don’t know for sure.
Lomax more likely than Cotric obvs.
I would love this but I would think things have to be real bad for Dragons to let him go considering he is under contract long term and one of there best players. Would be massive news so fingers crossed
The story goes he doesn’t have an issue with the dragons and they don’t have an issue with him…
He wouldn’t sign the paperwork in regards to the BBQ… this has been reported.
But the story goes deeper as its been alleged he and Alvaro actually co-operated with the police.
This has caused some issues between Lomax and Alvaro within the playing group and they’ve been calling them dogs, etc.
With Lomaxs partner moving out of W’Gong and into Sydney… things are starting to add up… Lomax position may be untenable due to the distrust and general animosity from team mates, despite some departing at seasons end… it may be in both Dragons and Lomaxs best interests to part ways.
Anyway, again… 2nd hand information.
Hope it happens.
Lomax contract may be an issue as he is signed for like 6 years on fullback money
That’s why lawyers are involved.
Could get messy.
If the trust has gone they’ll find a way.
Cotric deal isn’t cold yet
I can’t see it happening this year, the Bulldogs seem to have a miraculous salary cap.
Josh Dugan sounds like he could be a late bolter though. Trying for him and Ferguson to get the band back together in '22?
Looks like nothing doing and we will be promoting internally for the last roster spot. @THE_POM also mentioned the club was expecting responses from seyfarth and mikaele contract extensions prior to August 1 and still no announcements either which is disappointing
Thats a shame. Seyfarth has shown alot of heart and Big Mik has shown glimpses, but they say front-rowers take a bit of time to settle and he’s only young. Feel like they’re both keepers, but we could use someone like Klemmer to show our pack what “Fearless” means.
Klem is off to a QLD club.
Missed that boat.
What?!.. Who?.. Boncos?..
My guess would be Alex Twal
He doesn’t strike me as a drama queen.
No he doesn’t but isn’t he besties with Matterson?
I think he’s tighter with Cotric these days but read into that as far as you like…
Hmm, could be some movement around Josh Dugan. Finally some good news?
Nobody gives a shit about the trip to Tokyo. Same as how everyone’s forgotten about Scotty’s trip to the UK so he could have his picture taken with Bojo and Biden.
BTW I’m not even 40 and was able to get the Pfizer vaccination(s) simply by booking in and waiting for availability. So no, she did not ‘jump the queue’.
Don’t know, I haven’t heard the latest on the genomic sequencing and if they’ve determined the lineage - I’ve been getting a few ‘non-essential’ things done prior to the commencement of the lockdown so haven’t been following the news/data that closely.
Not sure why they couldn’t just continue the games without crowds like last year.
