so many posters talk about people like suli ‘needing to learn a lesson’, ‘make him lay bricks for a year…’.
a lot of people have absolutely zero understanding of what are obviously some serious mental health issues. this seems to me to be something that is being dilated because it seems every second person has ‘mental health issues’. it is like so many other real problems that are dissipated by pretenders looking to take advantage. thats a real shame.

no he doesnt deserve to be given 100 chances - he has likely had enough now already - but he definitely seems to need psychological help.

it is not the nrl’s responsibility just because he has played nrl. it is up to people around him who actually have his best interests at heart to look out for him.

i would suggest people take a step back and think about why someone in his position would self destruct how he looks to be; surely this is not the path of someone of a completely sound mindset.

Being lazy with a bad attitude does not equal mental health issues.

is he really that stupid? if so, i stand corrected, but anyone who travels that path of self sabotage has issues.

as good as he was, i have to agree with Gareth Ellis. it was only ever going to be a few years to see if he could make it in the nrl. the tigers were just lucky they got him because he definitely showed his class in the nrl…

no knock on his loyalty, but ellis fits the bill.

anasta is a definite. one last chance to get a decent pay check in your career and his comments after leaving have been classless…

Reynolds was signed to play 5/8 and long term that’s where he will play.

i hope so! im hoping it is just a way of easing him into the role.

so far from what i have seen of him at dh it looks like his passes are just too slow. most dhs will zip the ball out from the ptb and with him there he still seems to pass like a 6.
i’d like a quicker transition of him into 6 and not yet buying into him being dh much at all.
i guess this can be fixed, but feel maybe in his heart he doesnt want to be a 9…

Manly reserve grade?
Only made grade there five times.

Didn’t know that. I must have caught one or two of his games and he did well in them and made an impression on me that had me glad he was coming to the tigers.
Whatever the case, the point is up until this week my (misguided?!) expectations of him have been greatly unfulfilled.
Probably safe to say his best nrl game to date then.

Fair dinkum, everyone is suggesting someone to be in the forwards, the backs and dummy half specialist…I don’t care who wants who or who we need…we are in this space atm with who we have…this squad has to do the hard yards until we can get new personel…
Marty,Barba and everyone else mentioned wont be here next week, these players and the coach have to get the points on the board somehow, and with our injuries atm it will be tough…
chill and let Ivan do his work and hopefully his plans will come to fruition once we have our other players off the injury list and on the playing field, until then lets keep supporting the teams that get named…
as some have mentioned that our depth players may not be up to NRL yet so lets keep hoping Ivan can come up with something that helps relieve the pressure …

The thread is called “Signing Suggestions and Rumours” not “Let’s all be happy with what we’ve got: no interesting posts allowed”

Bottom line…Holmes is a yard in front of anything we have now

He’ll need to be to catch some of Benji’s or Godinet’s passes 😆

this has to be one of the best posts ever!! :roll

I thought he blows out after 20 minutes? Cant play anymore, falls into a heap, misses tackles after 20, cant play 80 in the centres because he isn’t fit enough……

Ummm happy tiger and Geo, you think little ole MCK still cant Handle more then a good 15 or 20 mins?

He is without doubt our best left centre.
One of the fastest in the club over 20 metres, moves well off both feet, causes havoc with every touch. Brooks, Lawrence, Chee kam on our left is it my friends. Just admit it. Kev looked so slow today it was sad.

Chee Kam left centre outside Brooks and Lawrence thank you.

when i was watching the game (early on) i was thinking “didnt Chee-Kam use to be good at Manly?”
last night he played WAY better than he has since being at the tigers, so i think he has deserved the criticism up to the last few weeks.

awesome he is playing well though and i think moving him to the centres (for what, the 53rd time?) might actually be a good move this time around.

only half way through this thread, but has anyone posted that maybe the reason the forward pack lacked any punch is because they were buggered by having to defend so much because of the attack turning over so much possession with mistakes and chipping on the first tackle 15m out?

as for the thread title it seems a no brainer that people are annoyed that although starting the season so well, ie; as the “Broncos/Dragons Benji” he has reverted in quick time to “2010-2013 Tigers Benji”…
