Ok guys lets look at this from outside the square…this is my opinion only …Simpkins,Walters and Grant are very, very good talent ATM…Liddle is injured and although many say he is injury prone are quite right, however he was perceived as the replacement for Farah, the young fella was sent in a bit to early because of the wraps on him…Tedesco rings a bell and he had a massive injury after 20 minutes in FG…Liddle must be given the chance after this last injury because it was one of those injuries that are collateral damage from his own teammate…
He has played excellent footy for us when out on the field and fit…I personally think he is still a fair way ahead of the other 3 mentioned as far as NRL experience goes and once fit should really show us his true talent and justify the hype surrounding him…
Well liddle comes off contract at the end of 2021
So he can be approached November 1 ?
He won’t have much time to prove himself with us before other teams can approach him
It will be interesting to see how loyal he is to us because I can’t imagine another contract being offered unless he can string together quite a few games at top level and finally stay injury free.
I think I remember reading that the dogs were after Liddle before he signed his last contract but chose to stay with us because we have stuck by him through his injuries, we were loyal to him so he repaid the loyalty and I don’t see why he wouldn’t stay with us after his current contract as we have stood by him during this injury unless we tell him he isn’t wanted
Momirovski looks bigger , stronger, faster than last year. Love what I’m seeing of him in the 9’s. Don’t let him slip away!!!
He looked slower to me TBH. I wouldn’t have him starting the season due to that.
I agree. Just don’t get the hype.
That’s all there is to it.
Hes no Joey Manu.
Rankin, Alas… one that got away.
Same difference between the two!
I don’t think Momo is amazing but he is far better than Rankin.
Second person that I totally bowled with the sarcasm…
It probably is Chris McQueen I’m talking to aye?
Jebuz, thought after clarifying with Russ that I believe Momi is to Wests Tigers (in comparison with Joey M) still the best attacking finisher we’ve had since EVER… he is as good as Joey Manu was at the same age without the same skill set and brash attitude Or the same bunch of Roosters players alongside to inflate his value.
My point was that comparing Rankin to Momi is more akin to comparing Rankin AND Joseph Manu! Absolutely stupid. I’ll reiterate.
He’s a gem and as good as we’ve got!
Best finisher since Tuiaki
I tried, I really did but I’m addicted to My Kitchen Rules again. Geez there’s some irritating grubs in it - but I can’t look away
Expect this year to be its last as the ratings are terrible MAFS blew MKR away, even a show in SBS about trains beat MKR in ratings last week
Never had a opinion of him
innocent until proven guilty
he was trialed by media for ages, without knowing the full story
9 only probably spoke to the girlfriend and she has probably told lie after lie
Get his side as well then we will see who is lying
I bet she will paint her self like she is an angel with him
I know this has been said before but I think the strategy of building from the bottom, in other words sign a swathe of promising juniors from around the league and develop them patiently is really the way to go for the Tigers. As many have said, we just don’t have the drawing power of other clubs to snare the marque players, actually we plain haven’t earned any type of drawing power. Nearly all of our star players have come from within, Benji being the classic example. Maybe when we have begun to assemble a talented squad, established a stable coaching and management team we will begin to be attractive to the elite players, who should be signed based on need or an attempt to provide the icing on the cake. By developing players from the junior ranks there is a much better chance of establishing team harmony and avoiding attitudes of entitlement and selfishness. It’s a proven recipe. Look at the Storm.
Tigers are poaching promising juniors from other clubs because they are probably sick of spending heaps of cash on bringing through their own juniors for the to be poached by a bigger cashed up club that will reap the rewards of the money we have invested in that player
A good example is Tedesco
Was in our system for at least 8 years and for us to persist with him even though he had a terrible run with injuries in his youth for him to up and leave us for a bigger club and not stick with the club that stuck by him through his injuries
So now Tigers are probably just going to steal other promising juniors from other clubs to not invest so much money into them as they have in the past
@Glenn5150 said in Signing Suggestions & Rumours:
Hope Im wrong but I reckon Parra are making a play to keep him long term. Put him in the top 30, play him this year, successful rookie year, lots of pats on the back, offer him more than Tigers, break Contract, stay at Parra.
I have a bad feeling about it.
My thoughts too
So he is 100% signed with us for 2021? There is no way we can lose him? He sounds like an absolute weapon glad our recruiting team is on the rite track
Who knows these days contracts aren’t worth the paper they are signed on and seems like you can get out of them if you sook hard enough
I wouldn’t be 100% convinced he is coming to us until he is in a tigers jersey
