Nope.
Right...
You're effectively implying that I have no right to that opinion cos I don't know him personally.

Right.

So basically you are saying no one has a right to say those sorts of things about players because they don't know them personally. I look forward to you policing that from this point on. You're going to busy.
You don't think Reynolds is a douchebag even though he was apparently abusing a fan before getting escorted out of The Star a month or so ago (which was a week after he was thrown out of Northies). You also have no problem with Packer even though he spent a year in prison. My problem isn't having an opinion, it's just that you're incredibly inconsistent with your opinions. Even if Moylan is a doucebag, he wouldn't be alone in our team. He'd also be our best player by miles. Teams that are much stronger than us are looking to upgrade in areas where they are already stronger than us, yet people on this forum don't want those players. They're content with an unproven hooker and fullback, a 5/8 that's been out of form for more than 12 months and a halfback that's never really been in form.

And further to your comment previously, I agree with you, Moylan will fit in great with the Sharks. They are a strong team that in recent years have been on a different level to us. And looking at the rosters, unless Cleary is the greatest coach in history, they'll give us a towelling next year too. They're getting stronger while we're lagging behind. And it seems you're totally fine with that.
Reynolds said something to some joe blow at a night club, big deal.

As for Packer, I've never condoned what he did, but he's since turned his life around by having a family and is a University graduate. Many don't reform the way he did, so I do congratulate him for that. Currently, Moylan is a douchebag, and there is no indication that he's doing anything to try and not be one.

He may well be a doucebag, I don't know and neither do you. What is certain is he'd be the best player in our team by a long way.

Being reported on Twitter that the Panthers have lodged a 3 year contract for Maloney to the NRL. Really shrewd signing by Gus imo. The guy has had success everywhere he has gone, and he could be just what they need to go that extra step. It's been clear for at least a year that Moylan doesn't fit in there. Maloney's signing makes Penrith instant contenders next year imo. Arguably the best halves pair in the comp.

Great pick up by the panthers. Agree with all your points. Big mistake by the sharks letting him go.

Well the Sharks and Roosters recruiting is looking very strong and again demonstrates that even with money to throw around our club has alot of ground to make up when trying to attract current rep players
We need to have a good season next year to win some level of credibility, but looking at a lot of the squads we are up against - on paper - we are going to have to play out of our skin.

Maloney to Panthers, Pearce to Sharks and Moylan to Tigers? Could work.

Great points you make, good sides recruit better players when they come on the market regardless of who they have signed, some of our supporters always make excuses for not signing top notch players, either they are over rated or knobs, good sides get the good players and deal with things after they have said players.
Sitting back waiting for a an elite player with no baggage to come here is fairy tale stuff, we need to be proactive, Cleary has stepped it up for sure, but we still have a long way to go.

Maloney is on a downhill slide. Defends like Moses while giving away half a dozen penalties a game. Moylan and Fifita together will be lucky to last half a season without the integrity unit getting involved. Cronulla should look at recruiting Simona to build the integrity at the club

My favourite is supporters who don’t want to sign top players because they are “douche bags”. We haven’t played semis in forever we can’t be picky. If a douche bag is going to win you games than come on board.

We should be looking at luring Joel Thompson if anyone. Much more realistic, and plays in a position that we do need strengthening.

Panthers will have two of the best kickers in the comp - it will be interesting to see who gets the job.

think there is a chance Holmes moves back to Queensland to play fullback?
There's no guarantees that Moylan will start in the halves if Flanagans son is ready for the step up.

If the Sharks roll with Moylan/Townsend, then they are the clear losers in this deal with the Panthers. Townsend is average, and Moylan, i don't think is the player most here make him out to be. Gus would be grinning like a cheshire cat. Id take Reynolds/Brooks over Moylan/Townsend.
