Watch and listen carefully to Ivan speak at coaching insider today.

Observe Ivan's body language and his responses to Tedescos injury and chances of playing SOO

IMO Ivan doesn't sound convinced Teddys injury is bad to keep him out of tomorrow's game

Teddy preserving himself for SOO3 and $30k??.

I think it could be for the $30k.

Foe Teddy's long term career he has to protect his ankle - we should not be that selfish towards a brilliant player.
What long term career are you talking about BBF? It certainly isn't with Wests Tigers. Tedesco has and continues to be selfish to the club which is still paying big money every week, play or no play.

Parochial fans have a schizophrenic attitude to SOO and Club games. They want their SOO team to win and think their players should be chosen. But come they get injured like Tedesco and Farah and therefore sabotaging their club for a few games they turn against them. They ignore that other Club top players also get injured like Thurston for example. Wt's trouble is that with it's limited number of top players we really effected if a star gets knocked out. But if there was no SOO we would still have that disadvantage of lesser number of stars. Farah was not leaving the club yet still copped the abuse so it is not just because Teddy is leaving.

If this attitude persists plus other attitudes re players leaving, potential top players will think twice before signing on here knowing they are risking abuse if they wish to leave the club for any reason.
Malcolm Knox: What has happened this week is a pity for the Tigers, a pity for Jason Taylor and a pity for Robbie Farah, who had achieved more than the Big Four put together but was somehow turned into collateral damage. (SMH 25-26 March, 2017)

You need your head read if you believe this attitude is exclusive to this clubs fanbase.

If we were effected if a star got knocked out that could only become a good thing.
Unfortunately in most cases we are affected when this happens.

In regards to the origin players at our club.
Its a double edged sword.
Historically we are not a club that has origin players and the players at our club have got their on their own merit. Good for them.
Personally i would prefer we would have none at all for the next couple of years and have a team that is balanced from 1 to 17.
We don't seem to be a club that manages those absences better than others and that comes down to the overall attitude / culture within the players. The teams that are affected by origin games or player withdrawals are built to a point where they go about their business complete the same gameplan irrespective of the players that make up the team.
Moving forwards if there is continued success for the Tigers, any future individual stars will be promoted on merit but we will have a squad of players that cover them adequately.
Additionally we may have some future success in becoming an attractive proposition for any origin players.
Unfortunately BBF you may be waiting a while for this to be the case with the Tigers as we have decided to target more test players than Australian eligible origin players or potential origin players.
If you like supporting a team with origin players so much there is 3 teams just north of you that might be better suited.

Deadset BBF,you really need to think about what you write...all supporters of most sports hate losing great players and become critical of them,it's human nature and has been going on for years wether it be league, soccer, rugby, basketball etc,etc,...they get replaced and move on,I personally can't say that I know anyone who has not signed with a club because of fear of being ridiculed by its fanbase it goes with the game and if the money is right then they take it and move forward...
Passion at times should really be replaced by common sense....two different states of mind..

As for the Farah - Tedesco remark,Farah was moved on,it happens wether we like it or not,Tedesco took the money and the POSSIBILITY of playing finals football...once again two different scenarios..
You may see me struggle...but you will never see me quit... :D

why is it that Wayne Bennett drops players that sign for other clubs
and we sit there and let them play?
its beyond me.
drop woods and drop tedesco. i dont care if we come last as long as some
from the lower grades get a crack at first grade.
Herman Ese'Ese signed for the Knights today and as soon as Wayne found out he
dropped him from tonights game.
He brings them back as soon as soon as he needs then though. Darius's dad does what suits him at the time.

Short memories.
Farah could have pulled out of the game before SOO 3 last year but wanted to play for the club, and did. (when he shouldn't have), but still was treated like crap by a lot of supporters

I used to be a bit bemused by perceptions that Farah put origin ahead of his club duties. The reality was the opposite. He even missed an origin through getting injured in clubland when he could have rested.
