Transport to Campbelltown?

Post by VanillaThunder » Thu 22 Feb, 2018 8:03 pm

Hey forumers,
In Sydney for a holiday and hoping to catch the trial game, can anyone help me out with how’s best to get there?
Staying in Darlinghurst, not opposed to Uber but just wanted to check if public transport was easier.

Thanks!

The Ground is bang on Leumeah Rail Station...A train from Central gets you there in about 50mins..
Wests Tigers don't need a Coach.. The playing group has taken over..

Leagues club right next to the ground to quench your thirst after a long train ride

All of the above are right.

I’ve done the opposite trip via Uber many times.

Looking at just over $100 in Uber (traffics depending) or $7 on the train line, very similar timeframes.

Very easy trip via train to leumeah station.

Since the November timetable all direct trains to Leumeah are via the East Hills line only, all other lines require a change at Glenfield.

Train in, leagues club, train out.

Your whole day will be under 100 bucks if done right.

For those that travel by train to Campbelltown this season be aware with the November timetable change the only direct service to Leumeah now is via the Airport/East Hills line, those that don't go via the City need to use the T2 Central to Leppington via Granville service or the T5 Richmond/Schofield to Leppington services and change at Glenfield for a Campbelltown/Macarthur service.

Has become complicated, difficult getting to some places without changing trains at least once, in some cases 2 or 3 times.
