Holmes to NFL

Post by goldcoast tiger » Mon 19 Nov, 2018 5:47 pm

Looks like Valentine is off to NFL trials, not sure who it’s with, but we’ll be hearing about it no doubt.

He trialed a couple of years ago during their pre-season testing with Taumalolo. Can't see anything coming from it to be honest.

😂

Hayne is better than him and he couldn't make it.

Good luck kid.
I'm sure he'll make it and beat all the kids who have been playing the game their whole lives.

Hope he does make it to put the wind up Hayne.

Good luck to him, but I agree with Demps - Hayne is the superior athlete and he didn't make it, so I honestly don't see him having any chance.

Poor decision by him IMO. He's in his prime and can earn heaps, so he's taking a massive risk.

I wouldnt be so quick to dismiss his attempts to go well.
Hayne may have made it if he had committed further, but circumstances look like they prevented that.

How is Holmes any less of an athlete the Hayne was, plus hes got age on his side. If he makes it I can see him doing far better then hayne did.

Hayne is the superior of the two.
Simple as that.

Val gets donkey of the day.
Hes top 5 wingers in the NRL and top 10 fullbacks...
In the NFL he won't be first string anything.

I heard a wrestler once say, a real wrestler not the WWE nonsense... That he could take 5 years off and not train whilst a person with no wrestling experience can train for that 5 years and get all the coaching possible.... The five year off guy would still win because its second nature to them and they're conditioned since young to do it. It's a massive American culture and they take it serious because it can take them to the olympics and college.... Jus like AMERICAN FOOTBALL.

As far as I know Val didn't spend his whole life since he could walk tossing the pig skin in a grid iron sense. He's up against an entire country of potential stars who play from young ages. Every school has a team. High school state championships, national championships, college!

America is huge also.
He's a big fish in a small pond over here but yeah... Good luck Val. Gronk.

Hayne did make it but left due to a pending lawsuit.

So you're slating the guy for taking a risk on a total unknown because it is something he wants to do, despite forgoing all the money he stands to make here?

If everyone thought that way the human race would go nowhere.

And its possible he might not as well.

Good luck to him tho.
