Sorry, couldnt hear the pager going off- was having a few coldies with Cam and Bellyache.

Greenberg the greasy, spineless little runt is an embarrassment to the game. The amount of dodginess that gets swept under the rug under this imbecile's reign is sickening. Give him another 10 years or even less and he will run our great game into the ground whilst happily dunking his snout in the trough slurping up all the riches that he possibly can.
It is quite clear that a majority of fans are very disillusioned with the game and have ever-diminishing interest in the NRL, we have Toddy to slap on the back for that.
Mate, don’t sit on the fence!😀

Agree 100% by the way
I agree 100% as well.
The disillusioned fan point is huge. I am astounded by how many of my friends no longer have the passion they once had. You could assume that regular posters on this forum are extremely passionate about the game. But on here I read countless posts about losing interest, sick of the garbage etc etc. if the game is losing its most loyal supporters there is something wrong. Greenberg needs to pull his head out of his butt, stop spinning the crap that the game has never been healthier, identify the major issues and start developing and enacting a strategic plan
One of my good mates claims to be a Souths supporter, which isn't surprising given his father played for Souths. That said, he can't be bothered watching games because he's completely lost interest in the NRL. He'll watch Rabbits vs WT if a few beers are on offer but otherwise nothing.
I can't see Greenberg being interested in the loss of loyal supporters from teams like WT but if the Capons started to whinge we might see some action.

Expansion is certainly on the agenda .. as Sydney clubs find it difficult to find the funds to run there clubs to be competitive and the NRL making it clear there is no more bailouts. In the paper this morning Cronulla are in financial trouble .. so yes there are certainly plans to expand the game as Sydney clubs fall over !
I'd feel sorry for their fans but I won't shed a tear if a superleague club goes bust.

Of course the NRL are going to focus on the elite players, they bring the money to the game.

Why aren't the state and country bodies talking to the RLPA about giving back to the game that made them?
I think it is $180 a head to play rugby league , don't know how many people play rugby league every year that is gonna add up

NRL need to forget the players for a while and worry about the fans CB

Players will get jack if 2000 fans start showing up to watch every week and fox subscribers drop off ....

Players think its fine to play one game a year in a country town and do an hour signing session

Can you direct me to the article about Cronulla being in financial trouble? I’d be interested to read it, but I can’t seem to find it... overseas at the moment so I’m a bit out of the loop

Can't see how Cronulla are on the bricks again, they've made a motza out of that development.

That’s the problem the development has stalled ,and I suppose with the ALP axing negative gearing when they take over you would have to think that Cronulla would be in a deep hole moving forward .

Gee that would be terrible. Strip their premiership and get them to bash it.

I think what we need to do is get rid off a few of these Sydney teams like Manly, Parra, and Doggies, and start looking at getting a Perth team, a Victorian team, and an Adelaide team. Then after that we should look at getting a PNG team, possibly the hunters in the NRL, and a Samoan and a Tongan team in the NRL. This will boost the crowds in Sydney as there's less teams, just look at the Broncos, they get around 30k attendance every game because they're a one team city.

Perth Reds.

Vic has STORM already, don't need anymore.

They want another QLD team & a central coast team.

Maybe we could absorb Penrith & Parra and be a super club - WESTERN SYDNEY WILD CATS.

NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS

SYDNEY ROOSTERS
C/B BULLDOGS
MANLY SEA FAILS
ST GEORGE DRAGONS
MELB STORM
NZ WARRIORS
BRISBANE BRONCOS
NQ COWBOYS

WESTERN CITY WILDCATS *
CENTRAL COAST BEARS *
TONGAN REBELS *
SAMOAN SCORPIANS *
PNG HUNTERS *
FIJI BATI *
SQ CRUSHERS *
PERTH REDS *
ADL ACONDAS *

If the NRL was to expand, where would the new clubs be based? What's your opinion?
