The Plodder

Post by formerguest » Sat 21 Feb, 2015 9:03 pm

I assume that like many, I chose not to go along tonight as a live stream was being provided. Sadly, like many others, did not get to see much of the game, apart from a stuttering video for about fifteen minutes or so.

What stood out for me though was the performance of the main target of those using the term "plodder" on here of late. I cannot comment on the rest of the game, but for mine, Keefy was our best during my limited viewing. Sauce had a spring back in his step, seemingly having put his foot and toe problems to bed and had his old pace (however limited) back.

He is our defensive rock in the middle.

Galloway impresses me with the amount of times he gets on knees and elbows in the tackle....Farah works very well off the back of that....

He also keeps the middle solid as a rock...sure he's not the flashy hair bouncing around Prop but he is very effective in his job....

Yes Geo its funny listening to how valued his efforts are to Skando and Fults

Maybe a few of us have been too harsh on big Keefy , he seemed to be a bit more mobile also

Consistency is where we have been lacking, too often when things don't go our way we have thrown in the towel. It is JT's job to punish that attitude, like other coaches do.
Today we saw a true champion in Winx, and a true bludger in Cleary!

Have to say Keefy did very well from what i saw , i just hope he has more minutes in him once he came of in the 1st half , the Defence got loose around the ruck.
It depends who you talk to on this Forum, if you are Optimistic? it's because your delusional and need a reality check. If you are Pessimistic? Your accused of being a negative Nancy and to go and follow another Club.

Do you think that he of multiple nicknames threw in the towel as well, or is merely guilty by association?

Just a normal match, as history shows ithe ruck is regularly "loose" when Keefy goes to the bench.

His time is coming to an end, but he is still a vital cog in the side.

Nothing wrong with Galloway tonight. He was fine and will be better with match fitness, big red always takes a few games to get his wind up.

What I saw tonight on the live stream, Gal was doing his job well

Hiting the line and pushing for that extra yardage

Good Intent

Unless he improves on the last couple yrs, I think Galloway will play like the love child of Corey Pearson and Chris Liekvoll this yr

I think that was Fults having a bit of a lend....at one stage after 20 mins or so he had Farah making 46 tackles.....and every forward made 15m each run all night...

Still Keithy was a ROCK...

Even though big Kieth has his critics,he is a truly solid FG player, you must remember he has had his injuries and is getting on a bit..

I honestly think this year will be a defining season for him especially if he remains injury free, his leadership qualities will come to the fore with so many young forwards coming into the side carrying heavy expectations....my summation of Kieth is ....he is an honest hardworking forward with the team at heart.....
You may see me struggle...but you will never see me quit... :D
