And that’s why you’ve got to admire Taumalolo, giving back to Tonga in the prime of his career, not at the end
What does " back to Tonga.." mean in this context jc?

Taumalolo played RL in Auckland until he was 14 then moved to Townsville and the Cows turned him into the finished article. Tonga had nothing to do with his development as a footballer.

This article might help explain what is meant by “giving back to Tonga” ... 601f1b7f25

On this Sabutey kid too, is this the modern paradigm, where you sign up and some management flog puts together a video of your highlights on youtube?

Then you generate some traffic and keen supporters send links to the club CEO? Then he has to write a nice email to say thanks.

Then the kid joins ISP as an 18 y.o. and gets decked by seasons reserve graders and never steps up.
Exactly my point
I will go with the army of professional talent identifiers across the country - don't think are too many (if any) 16-18yo not already identified in some way
We don't need kids who are friends of friends of the social media generation pushing for untried players. Leave it to the professionals.
Tigers?!? - Driven mad since - 1969-201?
