Turning back the clock like Benji! I wonder what they're putting in the Gatorade at Concord?

Cleary has shown tons of faith in him, and Rowdy has paid him back in spades. Totally deserved, despite some of the disgusting comments he’s been subjected to over the years. Always been a club legend. Always will be.

Rowdy did have a great game tonight although I decided to go with Packer for my 1 point.
I think in a way I expect Rowdy to make big plays when we need them, he usually steps up a gear when we need it the most. Even my neighbours heard that tackle on Slater, ok well technically they heard me cheering but that still counts right?

I am always incredulous when I read criticism of Rowdy on this forum.

What his critics don't pick up is that Rowdy has a role to play. His role requires that we win the ruck. Over the last few years, this side has very rarely won the ruck and hence all of our edge players have very rarely received ball on the front foot.

We killed the Storm in the ruck tonight and lo and behold, Rowdy looks like the champion he his.

Putting the ruck issue aside, how anybody criticises the only edge player we have had over the past 3 years that can run a decent line amazes me.

I've always been a fan of Rowdy's, great game tonight that hit on Slater had Wayne Pearse written all over it.

A few of Lawrence's hit-ups really helped us out of our own end and that's what stood up to me.

I think the timing with he and Brooks is finally starting to come together which is huge. The number of flat balls which Lawrence would knock on at the defensive line was frustrating. Now Brooks is giving it to him earlier with space or finding him at a better time and it's reaping rewards. I think we need to look into having players run tight support off Lawrence and hopefully he can develop and offload because he seems to make a few half-breaks, but no full-breaks. Thompson/Naiqama lurking for an offload on one of those half-breaks could be dangerous.

Lawrence was my fourth pick in the 321.

Anyone who reckons he's a coaches pet needs their head read.
For ages I have not been a Rowdy fan, and probably picked at his game more than actually watching what he does for 80 mins.
Tonight he was a pillar of strength and so was every other player out there.
I hope The Claw is in the the team next week.
Great game Champion.

He just missed out on my 3,2,1 but really I think he could have been motm. So hard to pick when the whole team is so good.

Did anyone else see the new found aggression and belief in him . He is most definitely on the bus and prepared to go harder than ever before. Both him and Benji are at the end of their careers and I think want to be remembered for this year and not the past.

One of his best games in recent seasons.

He is also developing quite an acceptable short kicking game too, which takes some pressure off Benji and LB!

Ran like a man possessed in second half. He is far more effective when we are winning the ruck.
