CEO - Shane Richardson

“mom doesn’t want little Johnny to get injured” once he gets a voice , and peer pressure kicks in , the dominant sport prevails .
Not to mention it’s proven by most high performance studies that playing as many sports as possible is the best thing for a kid , and specialising before teenage years is not only a waste a time , but statistically way more likely to have the opposite result that’s desired .

Haha true, that cracked me up. My bro has his boy
even doing gymnastics for range of movement and
footwork, jiu-jitsu, rugby too, it's great 4 the kids!

Not my way ! RL is absolutely 1st , 2nd , 3rd with football a distant way off , and afl a novelty , like playing gridiron when the Super Bowl is on.
My son is a huge gamer , and not very sporty at all , but he plays RL at lunch never fail, and has zero interest in watching it with me . There’s multiple games of footy happening at any given time .
Soccer is popular from age 7-12 because “mom doesn’t want little Johnny to get injured” once he gets a voice , and peer pressure kicks in , the dominant sport prevails .
Not to mention it’s proven by most high performance studies that playing as many sports as possible is the best thing for a kid , and specialising before teenage years is not only a waste a time , but statistically way more likely to have the opposite result that’s desired .
The best athletes in NSW and wild will naturally be drawn to nrl . AFL in other states .
Outside of participation numbers for sponsorships , bragging rights etc . Pre teen sports should be viewed as an all in approach IMO .
It’s probably better for him that he participates than watches it on TV. Excellent.

It is a great game. I really enjoyed those junior games on members day. Nothing like the live version over telly. I couldn’t think of where in the world I would rather have been. Maybe I’m boring!

If Richo wants to push memberships, every time we win, we are going to have to sly in a reference during the odd player or Benji presser. I might suggest that to him. But only after a win. We don’t want membership being equated with losing.

We are all probably too far gone here.. but the kids…

I can see Latrell losing memberships for south’s at press conferences.

We won’t really know about Richo for a little while. May as well enjoy the ride.

He will get things right and will get things wrong, just like all of us.

Gotta break some eggs to make an omelette.

He ain't perfect but a 1000 times better than Pascoe.

In 3 months there's so much stability and common sense

Yeah, 4 sure I'll take it.. Good vibe around town bro

He’s ruthless but he knows what needs to be done… doesn’t tip toe around it like the old management.

I crack the shits when he pronounces Luai's name.
Haha, the members comment was sus but he's not
an emotional guy, he's a bottom line man. The other
thing that put me offside was some comments
relating w Leichhardt that were recorded b4 our game
there, but whatever, like I said, I'm probably being
fickle and he's done good/whats needed. Sure he'll
do what he can 2 lobby for Leichhardt oval. Barry
O’Farrell can weave some magic in this space I'm
hoping but not hanging my cap on. We don't need
a full referb anyway, just upgrade the old girl smh

If you buy the club membership for $75 and grab a jersey you get $50 store credit plus 10% off your jersey. The membership pays for itself. No excuse if you’re a fan buying a jersey not to get it via a club membership. Richo isn’t asking anyone to go broke. Get behind the bloke.

He is absolutely brilliant. I'm buying a membership even tho I'm overseas. I'm 100% on board. This club won't get any better than Richo for where we are at right now.

I was actually worried about the review, if some of you might recall, because I really didn't think it was possible for our club to bring in someone like Richo. What I was really expecting was a repeat of something crap being replaced by something equally awful. (Grant Mayer being replaced by Pascoe is a good example). Or something dysfunctional being cleared out in a dysfunctional way. (leaks and more leaks etc).

So was expecting a new regime to come in and just start the usual process of kicking out Benji and the staff, and 'the reset, of the reset, of the reset, etc", 'i need to bring in my ppl and such'. For me , that would have largely just been a continuation of what we had been through before.

Instead everything really does feel neat and tidy at the club again. Richo has done it all. He seems to actually like taking on the basket case clubs. That sets him apart.

However the most important aspect of Richo as our CEO is his proven success and track record can be the foundation of everyone connected to the club trusting in the process. I can't really say we have ever had that kind of confidence in our club, even during the good times. I mean, the good times we did have papered over a hellava lot of cracks.

He said himself it’s easier to take over a struggling club, because the only way is up.

He indicated it’s his “last hurrah” in clubland

These are pretty honest accounts. If he was on the snout, having made a big impression, he’d play it a bit coy in order to extract some excess wads.

He has his own personal staff and is probably pretty comfy, so he might accept some unders for a CEO. Plus he has that health business to combat and he will need support there.

He studied at uni. A lot of league people have. But as we know, it’s what you do there, who teaches you, what energy you put into it and how you apply it that really counts. Same as a trade or maybe any job these days.

Wifey and I watched the Bye Round on Youtube yesterday. I thought it was a good watch but Richo certainly won wifey over. She thinks the Tigers are on a winner with him.

His take on the ‘big’ clubs having top rate home grounds is 100% correct. I also think his talk about moving away from Leichardt is a political stunt because PVL has also stated he wants better improved suburban grounds. I also think he will move to the olympic stadium and pressure local councils to improve both Leichardt and CSS to get them back. I think he would prioritise our home ground to Campbelltown because of his comments about Leichardts restrictions (parking, public transport etc)

Anyway, like I said, he impressed wifey.

I’m so far away that I’m only a $70 member but I’ve been a member for ages and that won’t change.
