Got this wrong, 2 top 30 spots instead of 1. So I can actually see us making that play for Cotric this year without any issue other than moving someone out of our 24 top 30.2025 Roster
Starting:
1. Bula
2. Naden
3. Turuva ??
4. Olam
5. Staines
6. Galvin
7. Luai
8. Utoikamanu ??
9. Api
10. Klemmer
11. Papali'i
12. Bateman
13. Pole
Bench:
14. Latu
15. Twal
16. Seyfarth
17. Samuela
Reserves:
18. Sullivan - Half
19. Toa - Wing / Centre
20. Da Silva - Hooker
21.
Depth:
22. L.Lualilii - Wing
23. Feledy - Centre
24. Saukuru - Centre
25.
26. Miller - Prop
27. Tony Sukkar - Second Row
28. Matamua - Lock
29. Faagutu - Lock
30. K. Laulilii - Lock
Edit: Players who have received top 30 contracts for 2025: Jarome Luai, Solo Saukuru, Luke Laulilii, Kit Laulilii, Tony Sukkar, Chris Faagutu.
Also accidentally had Galvin twice and Naden twice instead of Naden / Toa so there is actually 2 spots left.
Cotric is not at that level anymore. He’s in the same class as those two.Toa & Naden have and never will represent NSW or Australia.
Richo made the comments of pulling out the offer if it plays out in the media the other week for this exact reason. If it's for leverage from another team we will just pull the offer so they can no longer use it as leverage.Just my thoughts but I actually think that this is from Turuva manager aimed at dragons to up the ante
You don't just completely lose all ability in your early twenties. There's a multitude of reasons that he hasn't been able to reach that level again and a fresh start could be what he need. If it's short term too then there is no harm, as you said you think he is on their level anyway so we aren't going backwards and their isn't much else available anway.Cotric is not at that level anymore. He’s in the same class as those two.
Reportedly he actually wasn't coming straight from Rudolf's house. He went out again with some mates from outside of footy after the party because Rudolf shut it down before midnight.Perhaps it could have been much worse for the Sharks because Trindall was coming from an after match party at a team mate's house. I won't name the team mate but how deep do you think Cronulla will dig?
Unless we see a big improvement, at least one out of Naden, To’a and Staines will need to go and unless we see a big improvement Sullivan will have to go.2025 Roster

He hasn’t been a regular first grader for nearly two years. Not only that, but no other club has shown interest in him. Look at Sivo. Dropped and only a week later he’s been linked to other clubs. Not a peep with Cotric. He has never been the same since his stint with the Dogs. Who knows why he’s regressed, but he has.You don't just completely lose all ability in your early twenties. There's a multitude of reasons that he hasn't been able to reach that level again and a fresh start could be what he need. It won't be Staines, he is the only legit winger out of the 3. Safe under the high ball unlike Starford and doesn't have the same brain explosions as Naden. His biggest issue atm is finding a way to effectively inject himself into the game. I agree that it will be one of Naden / Toa (I am leading towards Toa being easier to move on).Unless we see a big improvement, at least one out of Naden, To’a and Staines will need to go and unless we see a big improvement Sullivan will have to go.
The jury is still out on positions 21-30 also and I’d expect a a few changes amongst them,
Sivo is a specialist left wing and would be a worthwhile get if we felt we could get him back to at least his fitness of last year. Next to Olam would be a lethal combo. Would expand the Fiji connection at the club making us even more desirable for future Fijians. Bring experience & elite finishing and for 2 years (with Olam) would not block the pathway of whoever we have earmarked as a future left centre/winger (i.e Willett, Saukuru, Makasini, Feledy).Definitely not Sivo, people saying we should take on and extend his contract have completely lost the plot.
So Trindall is a scapegoat? Bet he’s rapt.Perhaps it could have been much worse for the Sharks because Trindall was coming from an after match party at a team mate's house. I won't name the team mate but how deep do you think Cronulla will dig?
No, I think he would be the first to admit he was at fault. So Trindall is a scapegoat? Bet he’s rapt.
Sivo turns 31 at the end of the year and has major defensive issue. We aren't the team to coach that out of him at this point in his career.Sivo is a specialist left wing and would be a worthwhile get if we felt we could get him back to at least his fitness of last year. Next to Olam would be a lethal combo. Would expand the Fiji connection at the club making us even more desirable for future Fijians. The likes of Staines, T'oa, Naden, Lobb and externally Cotric & Valemei are preferred right wingers. Think this is often forgotten when we are speculating centre & wing recruits.
He was caught driving unlicensed under the influence. If he’s blaming others that’s pretty funny. So Trindall is a scapegoat? Bet he’s rapt.
Its one thing to take responsibility for you own actions. But if you’re the only one who has to while everyone else gets off scot free, it would be hard not to feel like you have been thrown under the bus.No, I think he would be the first to admit he was at fault.
