Watching again in super slow mo I can see his feet do leave the ground for a moment, but his body doesn't land with any force on Currans leg. When he pulls Curran back, Sezers is already on the ground.
There's no way that this is the worst example of a hip drop. There's minimal rotation because...
Just watched it again and Sezers feet never leave the ground, he tackles Curran from behind so he isn't twisting his body into a position behind him and it doesn't look like Sezers was using the weight of his body with significant downward force. It just looks bad because Curran fell back...
Many on this thread seem to think it's the fans fault that the Tigers have lost 11 straight at Campbelltown. Complete rubbish and I wish you'd all stop with these comments.
The fans aren't the ones who lack imagination in attack and are lazy in defence.
Yeah, every single tackle, a third player comes in, twists the ruck and then one of them lays down as long as possible. It's painful to watch and the ref lets it happen.
I'm not sure if anyone has pointed this out, but a GA WT membership is more expensive than the equivalent in any other Sydney team. The 5 game membership for Leichhardt is more expensive than the 5 game Campbelltown membership, and both are more expensive than just buying tickets online before...
100% agree with this. Watching the replay, you couldn't say it was accidental. Blatant eye gouge and the bunker had plenty of time to review the footage. He should have been marched, but we weren't even awarded a penalty.
Personally, I don't see the point if making this change. Literally nothing else has changed with the club. It smells of someone in marketing having nothing else to do.
Can someone tell me why the NRL agreed to the rule that the players weren't allowed on the balcony? From what I can see, JTJ hasn't broken any of the quarantine rules that apply to everyone else. The QLD health website specifically says you can go out on your balcony as long as you stay away...
It's the same in defence. When a kick goes up, they just stand and watch rather than getting back to support in defence.
To be honest, I think it's an effort thing and that's up to the players. But it's the job of the coach to get it out of them.
