2024 Top 30 / Ins and Outs

Admittedly there were a number of players unavailable to play for Australia in 2011 so Chris was probably a bit lucky to get selected but he still managed to play every game from memory and as far as rep football goes, he still played more rep football after the hip injury then he did before.

Almost impossible to say how much effect that hip injury had on his future progression but one thing you can't deny is that he was one hell of a tough determined player when you take into account the bad luck he had with injuries.
Yeah I remember the year he was a shoe in for starting centre in SOO then that darn hip injury came just before selections. Such a shame he never made back to Origin calculations. The Australian selection further down the track was consolation I think largely because Sheens was coach, but he did alright on that tour and didn’t look out of place.

Club News: 2024 squad update

Wests Tigers would like to welcome five young players who have joined the club on train and trial contracts.

Josh Finau, Declan Casey, Reuben Porter, Samuel Loizou, and Nick Lui-Toso have this week commenced pre-season training with the NRL squad.

The club would also like to wish Triston Reilly and Brandon Webster-Mansfield the very best of luck with their future playing careers.

Both players have been released from the final year of their contract with Wests Tigers.

Richo mentioned about keeping a roster spot open for AD next season but by my reckoning we are already at 30 contracted players if the options with Tumeth, Stef & Sezer are exercised.

We have recruited Luai & Turuva and have Luke Laulilii, Kit Laulilii, Tony Sukkar, Solo Saukuru & Tony Sukkar progressing to top 30.

@KingRobbie do you have the same?

Yep, I've got 27 for 2025 in the Roster Breakdown thread.

Regardless of which currently contracted players stay or go, we simply cannot go into the 2025 season with what we currently have as we will be no chance of making the top 8 yet again.
Common sense says there has to be at least 4-5 contracted players removed and replaced by much better options to give us some chance.

Totally agree Vicious, we need to be in the market for at least 2 x 1st grade forwards that are a upgrade on what we have on offer, plus we need 1 large winger that can and will bend the line, otherwise well its the bottom 4 again for us....as they say size does matter!!!
