Just like your name sakeYes, it is futile. I am seriously considering no longer watching any games. Will still have to know what is going on as I like playing Supercoach, but I don't want to watch us play anymore.

Yep I hear ya. I started a new job just over a year ago, no one there even knows I follow rugby league let alone support the Tigers! It’s just not worth mentioning. The last two seasons I've really really enjoyed maybe four games
I've blotted out earlier seasons.
My merchandise shirt and jacket has been worn a few times,. They stay in the drawer... I used to wear them thru the week not just game day... There's no pride.. No enjoyment.. No fun... Just disgust and contempt
Thank you. You got the bottom line. The truth of the matter Gallagher. You are good. Appreciate your posts. I learn from people like you. Whether I read the full post or not - its still up to Interpretation. How do I know what you are feeling as you write the word. Im not that good. Thats what I was trying to say. Apologies again Sir. You are good! Not sure you read my whole post. But anyway, you're right. I'm good.

Never based on how much tape you have left? Who said the 80's are dead. I had the same problem in the digital era. What era are we in now? Somebody? Meta something I heard.I tape the games and then based on results decide if I will watch them. Watched them all at start of the season even though we didn't win any at least we were in most of them, and I went to the games at Leichardt.
Don't stress over a loss much these days but a flogging last night was a just let it be over moment. At the point now where I just want the season to be over be cause we have a few more thrashings coming up I fear.
🙏All good mate. Appreciate your posts too. You're a long time poster and you're well respected here.
Of course he has. The only man that will ask him to step down is his business partner Pascoe. Membership is rising. Money coming in. NRL is happy. Everybody happy. Podcast again folks. Team named Tuesday. Wednesday,Thursday, Friday hope- depend what day they play. Weekend lose again. Reality kicks in. Monday morning. And my favourite part. The 3 2 1 points thread. Ahhhh - isn't life beautiful. And the icing on the cake - Your team for next week. As Good as it Gets.Hopefully this catastrophic defeat will at least result in a change of CEO and a new Chair. Lee has said he'll step down if asked and Pascoe has presided over too many years of abject failure to survive. Would at least be a sign that shameful garbage like the stuff dished up yesterday has consequences.
Don't think Pascoe can make Lee do anything. He's just an employee of the club. Lee has also said in the past that he will ask the Board to sack Pascoe if there's a case to do so (lawyer's answer I know). You're probably right about the financial stuff. Seems all they care about.Of course he has. The only man that will ask him to step down is his business partner Pascoe. Membership is rising. Money coming in. NRL is happy. Everybody happy. They hang their hat on the financial thing but never realise any details. I call bullshit on it. Same as the membership numbers. Who's to say Pascoe hasnt got 12,000 pets that are members?Don't think Pascoe can make Lee do anything. He's just an employee of the club. The finances are subject to an external audit every year. They can't really fudge them without sharing a cell with Hayne and Fainu. They hang their hat on the financial thing but never realise any details. I call bullshit on it. It would be a nice change to have a destination.
I understand what you say and agree .I think point 1. is the starting pointI've been a Wests Tigers supporter for a long time and, sorry, Magpies fans, a Balmain Tigers supporter for a long time before that. Anyway, I have to ask the question, is being a Wests Tigers fan a futile exercise? Seriously, do any of you think the Tigers will ever reverse the trend, become successful, earn some respect or, God forbid, win another premiership? For the first time I cannot see any light at the end of the tunnel and I'm normally a beacon of optimism! More than ever I am convinced that the success of a club starts at the top and clearly our administration are a shambles. There are so many reasons why the club will continue to fail.
1. The incompetence and lack of professionalism of our administrators, led by Hagipantelis and Pascoe.
2. The obvious disconnect between the coaching staff and administrators.
3. A deeply rooted culture of not taking responsibility.
4. Ineffective coaching led by a stubborn, out of touch head coach and rookie assistant.
5. Eroding team harmony/ belief (most likely caused by all of the above)
6. Losing attitude that permeates whole club
7. Lack of depth
8. Inability to attract/ secure quality players or keep talented juniors
8. Multiple home grounds
9. Ineffective policing of salary cap and TPAs that prop up the strong clubs while the NRL turns a blind eye.
10. Inconsistent and often questionable officiating.
I've probably forgotten a few contributing factors and, sorry for stating the obvious, but, really, can any of you see a way out? The clear first step is to sack most of the board, together with the two clowns running our basket case of a club but apparently this is not possible as they all back each other up. 74 nil - it says it all. The place is a disaster.
And the competition is not set up to provide all teams an equal shot to take their turn at lifting the trophy. The NFL is different because of the draft. I'm not recommending an NRL draft necessarily but do believe something needs to be done to give the cellar dwellers a greater chance to compete. Of course, getting our management in order is one positive step but the NRL should make it a priority to create a more even playing field by policing the cap/ TPAs.I understand what you say and agree .I think point 1. is the starting point
To some who responded by rubbishing the history remember the 2 out of 8 original 1908 clubs have a proud history
Premierships - Balmain Tigers 11 + Wests Magpies 4 + Wests Tigers 1 = 16
I think only the Rabbitohs have more
Balmain also lost a few GF's the 1988 and 1989 ones hurt
The bloody Nrl trophy depicts one of Wests losing Grandfinals for gods sake
However the future currently looks very bleak as no quality players want to come to Concord
