Roster Breakdown: 2024-2029

Benji cannot circulate the younger players into the squad fast enough.

What's Faataape's contract status? Doing & progresing well, looks like he's gonna hold centre spot at least a couple of months.

What’s the situation with Stef U’s deal?

Not listed for 2025 … so he can sign elsewhere right now if he wants ?
He has a Mutual Option for 2025.

Also been reported that there's a clause in his contract that if we miss the eight this year he can choose to leave.

Stefano has also suggested in the media after those reports that he wants to stay and be a leader at this club.

Benji's been quoted before saying that we're trying really hard to keep him.

We could potentially have a team something like this for 2025;
1. Bula
2. Staines
3. Zac Lomax or James Schiller
4. Olam
5. To’a or Semi Valemai or Sam Stonestreet

Coach:
Re Latu Fainu you show him not making the 17 in 2024/25/26 and making the bench in 2027 ?
I see he was signed on a 4 year $2 mill deal or $500k p.a.
For that much think he needs to be at least bench this year !
Imo bother Sam has impressed in his 2 NRL games so far

A lot of these opening up roster spots will get swallowed up by the likes of Large & Makasini & Luke Lualili'i etc.

We have the players in the development squads. Just a matter of getting them ready to go.

A great win over the Sharks makes our recruitment look good. Compared with the previous years very good. However things can change very quickly with injuries, declining form ect.
Recruiting older players in the past has often gone badly for us. Particularly with Taylor & Ivan was coaches.
  • Klemmer has got a tick from me. He has been consistent on the field, hardly been injured. Giving the young middles in our system time to develop without getting thrown in too early.
  • Bateman and Olam could have gone either way. If they didn’t get their bodies right. Bateman’s harassment of the oppositions halves, line speed in defence and up tempo game as been good. Hopefully he keeps that up all year. A fit Olam is exactly what we need in the backline.
  • I’Pap - Has been an upgrade on what we had previously in the 2nd row. We paid market value, not overs.
  • Aidan Sezer, just what we needed for 2024 in the halves.
  • Apisai Koroisau -probably our best recruit since Gareth Ellis

Yep. Let’s not throw a stupid contract at him after two games.

When Richo was talking (on the podcasts) about WTs being a development club because we have 9K of juniors..he mentioned we have a good centre prospect coming through.Maybe Makasini? Anyone know who he was talking about ..and what age he is?

Yeah, it would’ve been Makasini that he’s talking about.

He turns 17 this year if he hasn’t already, so he’s 16 or 17 now.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but interesting to see Adam Doeuihi meeting with Trent Robinson recently. I think he'd be a good signing for Roosters personally. Their issue is small halves. The rest of their roster is very good

They both go to the dogs abit the pic doesn’t exactly say hey we are having a meeting about playing for us…. AD is standing on the stairs and Robbo is sitting.

If they wanted size in the halves Manu would be fulltime at 5/8th.
