Flanno delivered him some harsh truths that he’s not at the level he thinks he’s at yet. That didn’t seem to make him too happy.
Retaing "talent has not been was biggest issue over the past 7 years!Of cause it is a possibility! But not unique to us.
We poach also. It's they way of the world. eg Luai, Fainu's even Galvin. Klemmer, Api, Papali etc
The problems are Identifying who to go all out for to poach or retain;
What is their worth,
and stay within the cap restraints.
Every club has to work through these questions. And every club may lose players they would love to retain.
Anyone who thinks it's only a Tiger problem is in fairyland.
Have you seen the stat that shows Luai has more success without Cleary than the other way round? Ivan may live to regret it.Probably is. And if he is half as good as his brother, why wouldn’t he?
Lomax is not coming to the TigersThe problem in the NRL right now is there are so few quality players now that you have no time to make those kind of choices.
Lomax is only 1 year older than Faataape and has showed way more. To be honest Faataape is just not what the balance of our backline needs. We need players with size and Olam already fills the nugget in the backline role. Lomax brings a height / flair combination that we desperately need on that right side.
Also, the 800k figure is off the mark. The salary will be $700k.
He is not coming. That is a good reply. I like Lomax and it may be that he ends up at WTs. If so, I won't be disappointed.
I thought part of this thread was suggestions and rumours, not just who is 100% coming and leaving.Lomax is not coming to the Tigers
Of course he's not...Lomax is not coming to the Tigers
No one is, because that's not what he is on.Of course he's not...
Forget player swaps - we aren't paying $800K
We are as likely as any other team that wants him. I'm sure most clubs will have a crack.are we likely to sign turuva from Penrith, is that a chance ?
has the Api connection too, good replacement for tupouView attachment 11131
I would be more than happy to offer $425-450
He is not looking for fullback money
I am VERY confident - we don't want him long term...We are as likely as any other team that wants him. I'm sure most clubs will have a crack.
I know some of his cousins who live in the Balmain junior district and have ties to the Tigers - we can only hope!has the Api connection too, good replacement for tupou
Turuva was only a teenager when Staines was at Penrith.Turuva looks great at the Panthers, but Staines looked just as good and kept him in reserve grade when he was there.
He’s improved since then but not sure he’ll have the same space with WT.
He doesn't need as much space - fast and physicalTuruva looks great at the Panthers, but Staines looked just as good and kept him in reserve grade when he was there.

Make that 16-1-1 and 9 in a row. Also, here's a stat for people who are worried that Luai isn't going to be a good game manager / halfback for us.View attachment 11121
