Matt Moylan eyeing an NRL return

Unless Marshall has had some sort of growth spurt in the past 6months, from what I remember including the u19 SOO last year Faagutu was always bigger than Marshall even when they went up against each other for u18 Mal Meninga Cup in QLDMarshall is much bigger, he’d be a great pick if we could poach him from the Bulldogs.
Staines has been rubbish. Looks scared to get hit.Agree on Naden. Bit harsh on Staines. Toa - played 40 mins of football this year, deserves a look under benji and co.
I think going forward you go for proven first graders or youth. No more half arsed shit.Yeah I was critical of him at the time for the Grand Final/Coke episode and he was not performing at the Dogs at the time and it should be added that not all that many were around the time of Trent Barrett "looking a bit tired."
It was publicised at the time that we got him early to mid season for a bargain basement figure with the Dogs paying a fair chunk of freight to move him on.
At the time I thought that no doubt we were probably nearing the mid season point where we had to finalise our numbers for the top 30 to be compliant and as we didn't look like we were going to get some superstar to get to the 30 then why not a bargain basement signing.
Also at the time it was also made known that Brent Naden and Daine Laurie were really good mates and I thought there was the possibility that the two of them at the same club may lift them and bring about some sort of a positive change in their general attitude and performance.
I thought it was a pretty good deal at the time with probably more positives than negatives around it.
I believe we originally signed him from the Dogs for the remainder of 2022 and for the 2023 season, around 18months, not too bad if the Dogs were in fact paying a fair chunk of his contract for that period.
Where it all turned to crap was when only about 3 months later we extended his contract until the end of 2025, which I thought was a totally unjustified knee jerk reaction after playing only a handful of games and scoring 3 or 4 tries for us we thought he had turned full circle and was going to be a superstar with all all the other teams in the NRL set to swoop on November 1.
As usual it turned out to be the wrong move, after a reasonably good finish to the 2022 season he has failed to play regular first grade through a number of injuries and suspensions and when he has been on the field, poor discipline and brain snaps have let both himself and the team down more often than not.
As I said, a good recruit on the initial contract when he came over from Canterbury, a bad signing on the contract we gave him only 3 months later.
Yeah but Joey liked coke too, look how good he was……Speed and strength = athlete
Coke and running into touch = Naden
It’s the cattle out wide mate.In reality I haven't placed huge raps of Richo so far, slightly due to his business focus, but the message he had today was really strong to be honest. The only chirp I will add is surrounding the "We have an excellent coaching staff led by Benj", We might need a dedicated offensive coach, as that is our glaring issue. We aren't conceding 30 points week in week out anymore, which is a testament to the improvements that Morris has made so far in his short tenure at our club. But we need urgent and efficient change in our attack
I don’t know how you say that, he’s one of our only players that hits top speed quickly and runs the ball as hard as he can. Unfortunately he doesn’t have the physique to assist him in breaking too many tackles, but it’s certainly not through lack of trying.Staines has been rubbish. Looks scared to get hit.
I read his book. His recreational drug use was usually in the off season or when they had a bye. Sounds like he made a huge effort to never let it affect winning. There was a story where he showed up hungover one session and trained in his joggers and was the best on ground in the session. Joeys faults (bipolar disorder apparently) were countered bythe relentless competitor in him.Yeah but Joey liked coke too, look how good he was……
Tavita who ?Who signs big Tavita , for the rest of this season with option for next maybe , I feel he will get a start , impact front row 20 minute play , what the thoughts
The bondi to wests move must hit like a brick though. Would love to have gus, provide a very solid addition to our forwards, and i would imagine him to be more reliable then a Papali'i or Batemen by lightyearsAfter hearing Angus Crichton's comments in the media today, we must make him a priority signing
TPJ. Ex bulldog / BoxerTavita who ?
What did he sayAfter hearing Angus Crichton's comments in the media today, we must make him a priority signing
The one who a couple months ago said he never liked footy and his parents forced him into it?TPJ. Ex bulldog / Boxer
What did he say
Criticism of Papali’i is unwarranted. The bondi to wests move must hit like a brick though. Would love to have gus, provide a very solid addition to our forwards, and i would imagine him to be more reliable then a Papali'i or Batemen by lightyears
Did he paint his drug use in a good light in his own book so that people wouldn’t question exactly how bad it really was?I read his book. Dam , Him on left back row , Pappi lock , Bateman right side back row be nice , he would cover us needing another prop I feel as we got young guys dang but Angus has good work rate , Never say never with Ricoh aroundCrichton won't play second fiddle to Fifita at Roosters
Angus Crichton has made clear he isn't prepared to sit behind David Fifita at the Sydney Roosters in 2025, with the second-rower weighing up leaving the club.www.aapnews.com.au
Article I linked earlier, said a few things. Mainly wants to play left second row and seems a bit annoyed with Roosters. Only catch is he said he wants to go to a good team.
