But we were ahead of Manly and Easts - and of course the Titans got the spoon.

I think the boys had an inkling that the comp would be suspended and wanted to keep the illustrious record of most 9ths intact. The scoring during the game supports this. They knew they had to lose by at least 11 but no more than 23 to get that coveted 9th spot. Once we got to 26 - 24 the boys realised they had to ease off a bit or 9th was gone. Luckily the Knights scored in the 67 th minute which put us in to 9th. I think the last try was just to make sure they hadn't stuffed up the maths. All round a good job to grab 9th. The boys can hold their heads high.
