LIVE GAME Trial 1 v Manly

Live Game Discussion
My wrists are intact but only due to low expectations. For us to have any success this year a group of guys will need to prove they are better than your average FGer. Last night nobody proved that, hopefully it’s a more determined effort against the Rortsters.

I’m not that worried Leilua Kelma Utoikamanu To’a Gildart and Peachey we’re good no way Foran stops that No TRY even with no bogus obstruction running into a stiff breeze they held their own bar Trbojevic they won’t be the last for that to happen too

He was very underwhelming from there on after.... ..💔

Everyone was getting so worked about signing him up. There were reactions about why we left if so late when he has 2 years to go on his contract. There were comments stating to sign him on whatever he wants.

He is a good middle forward. He is potentially an origin player. Aloiai though ran a lot harder and had more impact.

Stef is still a young forward working on his game who struggled at times last year and may struggle again at times. He is going to be targeted as well.

There wasn't really too much that happened last night to be surprised about TBH.
Don't know why some people are so up in arms about what transpired.
What really stands out is that we have no players with footy smarts, we are an extremely dumb squad. Smart players win footy games, only had to look at Longneck's 40/20's to see that, completely flipped the game on it's head. When the game is up for grabs we can't even manage to get a bloke in at DH as we saw last year.
It's a real problem, especially in the halves, they need to be as quick between the ears as they are skillful.

this thread is good for a giggle, last year we lapped manly in the trial and we were going to win the comp, this year we lose and its i have a mother and sister, but women should be in the kitchen not refereeing, sack the coach, players are crap, sack them all.
some of you lot boo santa and the easter bunny.

Honestly thought the first half was pretty solid. Peachy at 13 was doing what he's meant to and our defence was sliding soo much better than last year. I thought the effort was there for the most part, which is the best thing. 4-12 at the half, could have easily been 10-8.
Madden looked a lot more relaxed than in he did last year, he doesn't have the all the tools but he's got a lot of nous.
Second half shouldn't really mean too much for our season this year. None of the young forwards played, bar Rua who looked very comfortable.
Biggest plus is getting through unscathed
