Is Doueihi even guaranteed a spot in our top 17 this year?
He has enough to worry about one would think without being lumped with captaincy.

Have to admit it's fairly worrying that we can't even name the captain just weeks before the season starts.

Least they have changed the Balmain legends up a bit. Never seen Brasher or Corowa quoted before.

I have no doubts he will be picked in the 17 it’s just a case of what position each week, which was part of the problem with Mbye when he was captain.
You’re captain should be 1st picked in a stable position on the park. We need the captain to lead from the front but also be stable so he can do so as well.

They're not Weststigers but Balmain boys.
AD is out injured.
Jackson could prove to be a good voice/captain, that's why they've held off announcing it because they want to see him in second trial.
If he doesn't get it then a caretaker or co-captain like Tamou again or Twal until AD returns.
No-one in last years side except maybe AD are suitable captains, that's why a change of blood is required.

Blocker must be on holidays…
When he gets the all clear he’ll be playing the question is what position? Only when the time comes we’ll know but eventually he’ll be the Captain of the club don’t know if he’ll be doing it this year but come 23 or 24 he’s bound to be the next Captain

What's this latest crap of pulling out pensioners or those on the brink of it from 1/2 of the club from the seventies and eighties. I supported them as a kid into teens and way past time to canvas players from this century and club.

This may possibly be true, however it is not what is being discussed here. These guys want him made captain immediately.
If a new captain is to be immediately implemented, making Adam that man is stupid.

Joint capacity may be an option, but not singularly when he is almost certain to miss the first quarter or more of the season. Else whomever is named immediately lacks authority.
