Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Think he was contracted with knights wonder why he'd leave that contracted for a train and trial deal?
Yeah a bit of a head scratcher. Must have been a fair bit of dialogue in the background about opportunity to eventually crack into first grade. Still only young and a while away from 1st grade though.

He had no chance of getting to play first grade at the Knights plenty of talent still ahead of him so he probably figured he had a better chance with us or maybe he just wanted a change

Off topic (but also sort of related because I remember a few were saying we should throw the sink at him) but Reynolds battling injuries before a ball is kicked

Most people were wondering why the hell Souths didn't wanna hand him the keys to redfern for another couple years. Well I think the cracks are starting to appear...a fully fit Reynolds is close to the best halfback in the comp, but I reckon he's far from being fully fit and will be sitting on the sidelines more often than not for the Bronx. Big clubs like Souffs rarely get these decisions wrong in letting players go right before their collective careers are up.

Souths were burned by the Burgess and Inglis medical retirements so badly that they opted to sign all players over 30 to one year deals. that's why Cody Walker and co only sign 1 year extensions. Mark Nicholls headed to the Dolphins because they offered a two year deal and he needed the extra security.

the Reynolds case was the same as every single one of their players over 30. yes there's some noise around his back and whether it's going to hold up for 3 years, but for mine he is the ultimate professional.

We'll see how it pans out. Souffs willing to offload an elite halfback while they are in a premiership window screams red flag to me. And now before round 1, Reynolds is fighting fit to play

I know off topic but now I hear on the local radio the broncos players are whispering to the media about Kevin training them too hard and risks player burnout…where have we heard that before 🤔
