The best name for a toilet in world sport I must say 🤣Hey LO might be antiquated but I'll not hear a bad word about the Glenn Morrison memorial dunnies.

I know but its pointless - i could just as easily say imagine if Campbelltown Stadium was a 30000 under cover seat stadium and we were a successful top 8 team every year. My scenario is just as much pie in the sky as yours.I was pointing out the differences for the sake of context.
Campbelltown already has plenty more going for it than Leichhardt…except the history.I know but its pointless - i could just as easily say imagine if Campbelltown Stadium was a 30000 under cover seat stadium and we were a successful top 8 team every year. My preferences is we maintain the current arrangement and if we are pushing for a 30k stadium anywhere that its at Homebush - think you build it their you can share with Dogs and Bunnies and then push any big games to the big stadium if likely to exceed 30k.Whats you thoughts on Homebush boony - why is it your pref?
If you looked into a crytal ball I think you'll find only 6 super staduums in Sydney shared by 2 clubs. My preferences is we maintain the current arrangement and if we are pushing for a 30k stadium anywhere that its at Homebush - think you build it their you can share with Dogs and Bunnies and then push any big games to the big stadium if likely to exceed 30k.
Yea its a no win situation personally i would rather they play at Stadium Aust. Its funny but when we started out in 2000 it was a pretty even mix between LO and CSS. It wasn't until 2005 when we decided to sell our soul to the highest bidder that we became the nomads of the NRL. 17 years on and we are still fighting about it.Campbelltown already has plenty more going for it than Leichhardt…except the history.
It still remains unpopular.

Nothing better than going to Leichhardt and not being able to see the corners of the field, lining up forever to go piss in a dungeon and lining up for half an hour for a beer. Obviously you hate Campbelltown. You could move Leichhardt next to a train station with a car park and it would still not be ideal to properly watch a game of footy. Balmain knew this in the mid 90s when they bailed to Parramatta stadium. I still enjoy going to Leichhardt but as a venue to watch the game I believe it’s massively overrated

Been a member since 2009 and go to Leichhardt at least twice a year. Been to nearly every ground in Australia. I like the place but in my opinion it’s not what it’s made out to beClearly not a member...it improves the LO experience x 10. Would recommend.
My apologies if I’m wrong on that matter. I don’t know a lot about Balmain historyI voted on the move to Parramatta in mid 90's. It had nothing to do with the issues you raise. The ARL were applying a set of criteria for inclusion in the comp (Pre-SL) and one of the criteria that had to be met was accomodation for corporates. That was the one thing that could not be fixed for LO at the time.
You would notice that as soon as the ARL criteria were not an issue and Balmain had to fight for survival during and after the SL period, they moved back to LO, and so did the crowds.
Leichhardt oval has great history for Balmain fans. Not Wests tigers fans, some of our most depressing losses have happened playing there. How many must win games to make the finals have we lost there? It’s Balmains spiritual home not the Wests TigersCampbelltown already has plenty more going for it than Leichhardt…except the history.
