You need to explain how anyone can stand up to someone with Nukes and an army who is prepared to use them. These people often also have the ability to cause massive economic impacts.

You cannot win. I'd even argue thinking you are a tough guy who can win is the exact opposite approach of what is required.

The threat of force means that force is unlikely to be used. Biden publicly saying 'in the event of an invasion we're not going to provide military support to Ukraine' was an open invitation for Russia to roll the tanks in. And then having invited an invasion, they couldn't even follow through on their SWIFT threat.

It follows on the heels of the chaotic retreat from Afghanistan where America was begging the Taliban not to attack them.

Nobody is expecting America to nuke Russia, just expecting them to display some kind of basic foreign policy and defence competence that they were seemingly able to do with no worries for the last century.

This is a superpower committing public hari kari and willingly giving the keys to the joint to Moscow and Beijing.

Agree, this poor attempt by the US and other NATO countries shall warn the countries that (potentially) stand the next in line for the occupation e.g. Taiwan, Moldova, ...
This situation perfectly describes the reasons why countries shall trust no one, and that no country would come to help, instead they must themselves build their own, ultimate retaliating weapons that would guarantee they will not be attacked in the first place!
