Something I havent seen mentioned but was one of the most pleasing things I saw was players pushing up in support through the middle. Brooks, Hastings, Liddle, Laurie. That never happened last year and happened a few times tonight. Encouraging.

Was very evident and somewhat surprising in the conditions..in a good way..

When you consider we still have Deouehi, Garner, Blore and others who have played first grade, we are looking much stronger this year.
Hastings will be great in 5 games once he has more combinations.
Gildhart looked good. Reminds me a bit of Ryan Girdler.
Smokey...Toa to become first choice fullback through the year.

I was pretty happy with that result. I thought the boys put in a fine effort, yes the Rorters were not at full strength but our guys played with heart and like a team.
Lucciano was brilliant as was Hastings. Baby Bel looks very promising.
I think Captain Dressing Gown is going to get a bit of a holiday on the sidelines for that tackle & he deserves it, it was horrible. I don’t think we will miss his 20 minutes a game contribution.
It was nice to see our boys taking the time to acknowledge the crowd that braved the horrendous conditions by signing autographs and taking photos even though it was raining & they must have been exhausted. It was a good look for the club and I am sure the fans appreciated it.

Agree on LL. Lets wait for the official confirmation on Kelma. There must be a reason for the delay. Lets hope its a good reason. I think he will be a star. Kelma will be the player people expect Blore to become. His footwork on one of his early runs was incredible.

I reckon he is definitely gone. I'd love him to stay. He can play.

Gildart, To'a and Roberts all looked good as well. There is some competition for the outside backs now as well.

Only a trial but liked what I saw from Hastings. We haven't had an on field lieutenant for some time. Brooks looked better. And as others have said, it was good to see players backing up.
