TEAM LIST Wests Tigers Team v Melbourne Storm

Team List
I may be in the minority but I liked what the great Willie O's nephew Joe did at 13 in the Roosters trial.

He is a quality middle forward at his best - and 13 may suit him better than prop given the size of some of the elite props in the game currently.

Peachey will get plenty of minutes at both dummy half and as a roving lock/link player if required.
I have always thought from signing him that his best position is 13. Was surprised Twal started there last year. Lets see if he can build into it this year. Will have until Liddle is fit I would assume.

Melbourne aren't too bad first up

Since he took over as head coach of Melbourne in 2003, Craig Bellamy has never lost a season opener.
While that may be true, we went awfully close in 2007 with a team that couldn’t make the playoffs.
This is a different team than last year.

Melbourne recruitment skill and attitude.

Mediocre players always improve there.

They will play for 80 and will not take their foot of their opponents throat.

Check out the 2021 game against us.

This will be a massive test for our club if we have finally broken away from being a loser club.

Will.the WTs compete ??

i do like hastings a lot,i just think theres still so many guys in this team that are not up too first grade standard
not forgetting our entire back row will most likely be gone next year so i really don't wanna see them do well than they leave :S

Everyone has their own view, and yes I can accept that there are WT fans who love to see them lose. I may not understand it, but my thoughts don’t really matter. They’re only important to me.
Off the top of my head, there are around 6 players who weren’t there last year. This time next year there will be a similar number of new faces.
In assessing the possibility of a Tigers victory I usually consider the number of ex Tigers in the opposition team, their level of skill, and possible dissatisfaction at not reaching their full potential at WT.
All things being said and done , there is only one team I love to see win.

Okay, whilst I want our entire back row to shine this year and couldnt care less how they go elsewhere next season having chosen to leave.

Rather, I look forward to watching them play for WT as I also keep an eye on those either coming to replace them once named and preferably one of our own youngsters rising to the occasion to take their shot at nailing down a spot.
